Toyota joins forces with Amazon
The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota hopes to play a key role in the market of autonomous driving. It therefore is joining forces with the American webshop giant Amazon to bring autonomous driving delivery vehicles on the road.
Earlier Uber, Pizza Hut and Mazda started negotiations with Toyota. They all have the same target: having autonomous driving vehicles on the road to deliver parcels, pizzas or people.
Race against the clock
Toyota is not the only company with the urge for autonomous cars, also General Motors, Tesla, Waymo and Google parent company Alphabet have similar objectives. Experts even say there is a real race against the clock and the one who will be the first will see his investment largely repaid.
