Fisker plans comeback with full electric EMotion
Not at a motor show but at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Henrik Fisker, founder, Chairman and CEO of Fisker Inc presented the Fisker EMotion, a full electric car with a 650 km range to put the brand back on the rails.
Henrik Fisker, former designer at BMW and Aston Martin, created his first company in 2013 but went bankrupt after only selling some thousand cars of his new brand. Reborn, the brand does everything to make it attractive again.
The Fisker EMotion has wing doors, a semi-autonomous pilot mode using lidars and a range of 650 km. The car that should be deliverable in two years and will cost 120.000 dollar “is a reinterpretation of the luxury sedan”, Henrik Fiskers says to the AFP news agency.
Solid state battery
Fisker is working on its battery technology allowing to recharge for 200 km in nine minutes. He also hopes to achieve to develop a solid state battery that would allow to be charged completely in one minute in the future.
Like Tesla Fisker is also working on a ‘budget electric car’ that should cost around 40.000 dollar. Another project is an autonomous bus called Orbit to be available in a few years.
