Europcar taking over Scooty’s shared electric scooters
On Friday car rental company Europcar has announced that it is going to take over Scooty, a Belgian start-up that rents electric scooters in free-floating service in Brussels and Antwerp.
“The market of shared cars and shared scooters is changing rapidly and are a good alternative for owing a proper car, so this was a nice opportunity for our company to strengthen our presence on those markets”, explains Europcar in a press release.
Scooty was created in 2016 and offers clients 176 electric scooters in Brussels and Antwerp. There is no specific parking lot for the vehicles, they can be parked in indicated zones.
