Electric charging: EVBox takes over French EVTronic
Dutch electric charging equipment and software company EVBox has taken over its French sector colleague EVTronic, adding some 700 fast charging stations to its existing 60.000 charging points in 45 countries.
Fast charging specialist
EVBox started in Amsterdam in 2010 and was bought itself in 2017 by French Engie Digital, daughter of energy supplier Engie. The take-over of EVTronic, a specialist in fast DC (direct current) charging at 50 kW up to 350kW and V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) technology, is logic as both companies were working together in the past already.
