Belgians still eager to buy cars: second best year ever?

The latest car registration figures show Belgians are still eager to buy cars while the sector is building up its high mass of the Brussels Motor Show, opening to the public on January 10 /Febiac

Despite continuous calls for climate action and a paradigm shift, Belgians are not prepared to get rid of their cars yet. On the contrary, with 550.003 new vehicles registered, its the second-best year ever for the sector, after 2011 (572.211), and only 371 cars less than in 2018.
