Stint to be called Buszy on victims relatives’ request
Relatives of the dramatic Stint accident in Oss, in September 2018, have asked whether the vehicle can be rebaptized when it will hit the road again. Edwin Renzen, the builder of the Stint, has complied with this request, and the new ‘bolderkar’, as the Dutch call the vehicle, will be named ‘Buszy’.
Since the accident, the Stint was removed from public roads. The tragic accident is also the reason why the Netherlands is not flooded with shared electric scooters. They still are forbidden.
The vehicle now will be checked by the Dutch traffic service, RDW, under the authority of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works. The Ministry communicated the relatives’ wishes to see the name of the vehicle change, and Renzen agreed.
The brand’s name Stint will still exist, but the popular model used to transport children will be called ‘Buszy’.
