Increasingly fewer offenders of Antwerp LEZ

The Antwerp low-emission zone was introduced in February 2017, but meanwhile, the rules have become stricter. Still, fewer drivers get caught /Belga

Last year, the city of Antwerp caught 20.774 Belgian drivers for entering the low-emission zone with an unauthorized vehicle. The number of infringers more than halved compared to the 42.455 the year before. In 2019, only 0,25% of all Belgian cars were offenders. Whether the number of foreign infringers has reduced is not clear. Fewer
