FlixBus expands bus network in Belgium
FlixBus, the provider of low-budget long-distance bus trips, is offering some new destinations. Trips departing in Belgium now also go to Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Italy. The company also says to respect all the necessary hygiene and safety measures.
As of Thursday, July 2nd, the flashy green buses connect several Flemish cities (Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Courtrai) with new destinations in Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Italy. Last year, the German FlixBuses transported three million passengers in Belgium alone. An absolute record.
Also, the actual service to the Netherlands and France will be intensified, there will be new routes, and frequency will increase, the company explains.
The new international destinations are London, Luxembourg, Basel, and Milan. Next to it, there will be more frequent rides from Belgium to Lille, Paris, and Amsterdam. Some new destinations will be added in the Netherlands: Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Arnhem, and Delft.
On Thursday, the company also launches some domestic British trips from London to Bristol, Guildford, Birmingham, and Portsmouth.
The buses are disinfected after each trip, ventilated, and the air conditioning filter is replaced regularly. Only the back door is used to get on or off the bus, and people can disinfect their hands. Even ticket control happens contact-free, and travelers have to wear mouth masks during the trip.
