Eddy Haesendonck confirmed as CEO of Hedin Benelux

As of 1 October, Eddy Haesendonck is confirmed as CEO of Hedin Automotive for the whole Benelux region, while his colleague Henrik Lessèl, currently CEO of Hedin Belux, will become CEO of Hedin Germany, a fast-growing market for the Swedish group.

In August 2022, Eddy Heasendonck, former CEO of BMW Belux, became CEO of Hedin Automotive Benelux. His first task was to organize Stern’s overtaking in the Netherlands and its integration into the Hedin Mobility Group.

As of October, Haesendonck will take over all responsibilities for Hedin Automotive Benelux and will be assisted as CFO by Finus Porsius, currently CFO for the  Netherlands.

Henrik Lessèl, CEO of Hedin Belux, has been asked by Anders Hedin, CEO and founder of the Hedin Mobility Group, to become CEO of Hedin Automotive Germany. He will take Allan Stich with him as CFO. Germany is one of the fastest-growing markets for Hedin Automotive in Europe.

Hedin Automotive is a daughter of the Swedish Hedin Mobility Group. It has been present in Belgium since 1918, and Luxembourg was added in 2023. The company represents 11 brands, either importing them or fulfilling dealer activities. The brands are BYD trucks, Dodge, Hongqi, Ineos Grenadier, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, RAM, Smart, Toyota, and XPeng.

Apart from this, Hedin Automotive also deploys activities in the renting and fleet business via Mabi Mobility and Unifleet. It also runs car body repair shops in Flanders and now has 30 outlets throughout Flanders, mainly in the provinces of Antwerp, East Flanders, and Flemish Brabant.
