The city of Brussels wants to strengthen its nighttime transport offering by making the shared nighttime cab service Collecto more visible. The city announced this during a press conference on Thursday afternoon to present the partnership between the two. For this occasion, Collecto was given a new look.
Collecto is a collective taxi service available daily, including Sundays, between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. throughout the Brussels Region. Booking a Collecto cab is easy. You can do it by phone or via a mobile app.
Safe and affordable
Travelers are taken to their destination via 200 boarding points at strategic STIB stops for a fixed price of only six euros. The low price encourages people to leave their cars parked after a night out.
An individual taxi ride in the Brussels Capital Region costs at least eight euros, with the final price depending on the distance traveled. With Collecto, the price is a fixed rate without surprises: six euros per passenger.
Collecto is a safe and affordable night-time cab service. It is also good for the planet: sharing a taxi allows everyone to reduce their ecological footprint, the press release states. “Collecto offers a concrete answer to mobility and safety challenges in the city.”
