Renault introduces Mobilize Duo in its Belux network

Mobilize Duo, the electric four-wheel from Renault’s Mobilize subsidiary, will be available in the Belgian and Luxembourg markets from April 7th onward through Renault’s dealer network.

Three versions target young drivers without a driver’s license, as well as adults and professional drivers with a license.

Mobilize Duo aims to be practical and agile in an urban environment. With a range of 161 km, it’s the only vehicle in the four-wheeler category equipped with an airbag, according to Mobilize.

Connected

The Duo aims to be very intuitive and has a dashboard inspired by boomboxes. There is no central display; that is replaced by the driver’s smartphone, connected via Bluetooth or a USB-C link.

Music is performed via a transducer, transforming the whole dashboard into a giant loudspeaker. Thanks to shared digital keys, the smartphone app ‘My Duo’ allows the owner to share his vehicle with up to six people.

Three versions

Three versions will be available from launch. The Duo 45 Neo is aimed at drivers aged 16 with an AM driver’s license. It has a maximum speed of 45 kph and is ideally fitted for forensic traffic.

The Duo 80 Evo is for drivers with a C license and can reach 80 kph as a maximum speed. It is fitted with a Bluetooth kit and high-quality seats. It wants to be a compact, comfortable alternative for the traditional second car in families.

Finally, Duo 80 Pro aims at professional users who can seamlessly integrate the vehicle into their fleet management systems. Here, Mobilize offers personalizing possibilities to transform the Duo into an original image carrier for companies acting in an urban environment.

The Duo can be ordered in five different colors: iconic orange, exotic green, galactic grey, cosmic blue, and chic purple. In Belgium, the Duo 45 Neo will be available for €9,990, the Duo 80 Evo will start at €12,500, and the professional Duo 80 Pro will cost at least €11,600.
