Good news for future drivers: all applications for a category B driver’s licence—including the definitive driver’s licence—can now be made online. The Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport announced this on Tuesday.
Applications are processed via the BelDrive online platform. The initiative results from a collaboration between the Belgian authorities to provide a user-friendly and reliable service for everyone. BelDrive is available 24/7.
Online application
For some time now, it has been possible to apply for a provisional driver’s licence or to renew a driver’s licence. Still, the definitive driver’s licence application can now be made online once someone has passed the practical exam.
The license must still be collected from the municipality because the identity must be checked.
