Cadillac boosts EV line-up with Vistiq as fifth model (update)

Cadillac is in a hurry to deploy a full-grown EV line-up. Its latest electric vehicle, the Vistiq, slots between the massive Escalade iQ and more compact Lyriq, lifting the number of announced battery-powered models to five (next to the Celestiq and Optiq). The Vistiq promises ample range and top-notch charging technology and is positioned as a global model and is also available for European customers.

The Vistiq marks Cadillac’s second all-electric model on the European continent following the Lyriq. Sales have started in Germany, France, Sweden, and Switzerland, with plans to expand further.

460 kilometers of range

The Vistiq’s heart is a 12-module, 102.0-kWh Ultium battery pack. Cadillac estimates the vehicle will deliver 460 kilometers of WLTP range at full charge, nothing ground-breaking. Power consumption is rated at 21.8 kWh/100 km.

For EV drivers concerned about downtime, the Vistiq offers impressive fast-charging capabilities: it can add 159 kilometers of range in 15 minutes using a 190 kW DC fast charger. The Vistiq brings cutting-edge functionality with bi-directional charging to send power back to a home, providing owners with a valuable utility layer.

Two electric motors generate a total of 615 hp (452 kW), enabling the Vistiq to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds—impressive for an SUV weighing 2,899 kg.

Luxury interior design

Inside, Cadillac has infused the Vistiq with an atmosphere of modern luxury. The cockpit’s centerpiece is a stunning 33.0-inch curved digital display that combines a gauge cluster and an infotainment system. Below this, an eight-inch touchscreen provides intuitive controls for various features, including the intelligent air conditioning system.

The Vistiq’s five-zone setup ensures personalized climate control for every passenger, catering to the comfort of up to seven occupants. For those seeking an even more refined experience, the second-row captain’s chairs are available as an option, enhancing both luxury and accessibility.

The cabin is further enriched by upscale materials, including open-pore real wood decor, carbon-look accents or leather-free upholstery. The Vistiq is available with either six or seven seats, depending on configuration. Even with three rows in use, it offers 297 liters of cargo space; folding the third row expands that to 889 liters.

Two high-end trims are offered in Europe: ‘Luxury’ and ‘Premium Luxury.’ In Germany, the Luxury model starts at €99,640 and includes seven seats, while the Premium Luxury—with six seats and captain’s chairs—costs €110,503. In France, the prices are €100,540 and €111,658 respectively.

Toward 1 million EVs annually

John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, commented: “Our brand now has an EV entry in most luxury segments, offering customers a range of choices, and Cadillac EVs will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years.” Though not officially confirmed, this reads as the Vistiq stands a good chance of hitting European shores.

The model is expected to hit showrooms in Europe starting September 2025, and Cadillac has opened a new showroom, Cadillac City Stockholm, to support its expansion. That’s also the target year for the American luxury builder to sell 1 million EVs annually.
