The 102nd edition of the Brussels Motor Show (BMS), to take place from January 9 through January 18, will not only show cars and vans but also motorbikes. This will be the first re-entrance of exhibitors of motorized two-wheelers since 2020.
Yesterday, BMS organizer Febiac held its annual general assembly, and there, the federation of importers confirmed that motorbikes will be on display again in the expo halls in Brussels at the beginning of next year.
The last edition of the BMS, held in January 2025, was considered very successful by the organizers, with a record number of exhibitors in attendance. Approximately 307,000 people visited the show in these ten days in January.
The exhibitors also expressed their satisfaction, which is why Febiac confirmed relatively soon that there will be a new edition of the BMS already in 2026. The official registration period starts today, but sources inside Febiac have confirmed that 92% of the exhibitors present in 2025 have already unofficially confirmed their presence in 2026.
With two-wheelers
In 2026, these exhibitors will have to share the expo halls with their colleagues from the motorbike and scooter sector. “After the BMS 2025, we held a survey among the visitors of the 2025 edition to know what their expectations were regarding next year,” explains Christian Lambert, president of the motorbike section inside Febiac.
“It didn’t surprise us that 97% of the visitors responded that they wanted to see the newest evolutions of cars and trends at the next edition. More surprisingly was the fact that 50% of these same visitors also mentioned that they would very much like the motorbikes to return to the show,” he adds.
“That’s why we are thrilled that we can already announce now that our motor section will be present at the next Brussels Motor Show in 2026,” Christian Lambert concludes.
For the motor fans, January has always been the month when plans were made for the eventual purchase of a new bike. They deplored not having a yearly gathering anymore where they could keep up with the latest market developments. The problem was that exhibitors struggled to find the financial means to participate in the BMS. In 2026, on the contrary, they will go for it.
