Children younger than twelve can travel for free on the coastal tram in July and August if they have a beach flower with them. Transport company De Lijn presented its colorful summer campaign last Friday in Bredene.
With this campaign, De Lijn is linking a true coastal tradition to one of its most iconic lines and vehicles. This way, the public transport company wants to convince families and children that the coastal tram is the best way to get around at the seaside and motivate them to travel sustainably.
From Knokke to De Panne
All summer long, children younger than twelve can use a beach flower as a ticket. From July 1st, coastal trams will also be decorated with beach flowers to promote the campaign to travelers.
The coastal tram is the primary mode of transportation for coastal residents to reach their daily destinations, but for many, it is also synonymous with vacation. With the coastal tram, you can quickly and comfortably visit all the tourist attractions along the 67-kilometer-long Belgian coastline – from Knokke to De Panne.
