It has become somewhat common these days for the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MITT) to leak pictures of future vehicles. The latest is the future Cadillac Optiq, a new entry-level electric SUV that will take place under the Lyriq<\/a> and be built in China. Expected to go on sale in 2024, it\u2019ll compete against the Tesla Model Y<\/a>.<\/p>

Unfortunately for manufacturers trying to keep quiet about their future models, part of the regulatory homologation process in China includes a photo shoot at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MITT). Those pictures are thereafter put into a catalog, which is open for public feedback. The latest victim of that process is the Cadillac Optiq, reported by CnEVPost<\/a>.<\/p>
