Dutch Fastned has opened a new fast-charging station in Belgium along the E40 highway in Walshoutem (Landen), and this one is the first to feature 400 kW charging on eight charging points. Fastned now has 26 stations in Belgium, all in Flanders except for one (in Vielsalm), since opening the first in 2020 in Ostend.<\/p>

Until now, 300 kW max was the standard. Chargers with 400 kW capacity that would allow 100 km of range in three minutes, in theory, are still scarce, but there are no EVs on the road yet capable of charging at that speed. Fastned started experimenting with 400 kW charging in December 2022<\/a> at its station at De Watering in Dutch Oostzaan with an EVBox Troniq Modular High-Power column.<\/p>
