Omoda, a Chinese group Chery's sub-brand, is expanding its range with the new flagship Omoda 9 SHS. The mid-sized SUV features a range-extended electric drivetrain with nearly 450 hp, a total driving range of over 1,100 km, and a luxurious interior, all for less than an entry-level BMW X3.<\/p>

Omoda was established as a brand in 2022, at the same time as its sister brand Jaecoo. It has clear international ambitions, not only in Europe but also in Russia, where many Western and Japanese brands have stopped sales since the war in Ukraine. Omoda arrived in Belgium in 2024<\/a> with the Omoda 5<\/a>, a compact SUV with both gasoline and electric drivetrains.<\/p>
