As previously<\/a> announced, Tesla has begun assembly and sales of its new base model, the Model Y Standard. The new Model Y Standard, priced from \u20ac39,990 in Belgium, lowers the barrier to entry by trimming away some of the brand\u2019s hallmark features. The Standard must help revive flagging European demand, though some European markets have already restarted their embrace of Tesla.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Logically, the new variant rolls off the line next to the other trims of the Model Y in the Gigafactory in Gr\u00fcnheide, Germany. As we reported before, for the European market, the Standard keeps Tesla\u2019s familiar minimalist look but pares back on comfort and design extras.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
