It is the holding company which owns Volvo, Polestar, Lotus and Zeekr, among other brands, and the third largest Chinese vehicle manufacturer behind BYD and Chery. But since last year, Geely has also been more active in commercial vehicle activities in Europe.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-193843\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Farizon-SV.png?resize=640%2C360&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">After LEVC, known for taxis and vans, the group officially launched Farizon in Europe. In Belgium and the Netherlands, the <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">light commercial vehicle-brand <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">is <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/2026\/04\/01\/from-inchcape-to-beherman-roosen-takes-wheel-at-benelux-importer\/\">distributed by Beherman<\/a>. Farizon\u2019s first models on the European market are the <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/2025\/08\/19\/farizon-expands-sv-range-with-double-cab-and-taxi-variants\/\">SV<\/a> and the smaller V7E, both of which are also pres<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">e<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">nt on the group\u2019s stand on the IAA Transportation. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The event in Hannover is<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> on<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">e<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> of the most important events in the European commercial vehicle world.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-193842\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Farizon-V7E.png?resize=640%2C360&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The V7E is the latest addition to Farizon\u2019s light commercial vehicle range. It was developed for last mile use, and offers a <span style=\"color: #283728;\">6,95 m\u00b3 <\/span><span style=\"color: #283728;\">load volume and a 1.373 kg payload, with a range of up to 328 km on a full charge. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Homtruck: 500 km range<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">But the two electric vans are not Geely\u2019s big showstoppers in Hannover. That is the Homtruck, which has its European premi\u00e8re at the IAA. The electric truck extends the offering of the group from regional and last-mile light commercial vehicles to long range transport.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The Homtruck had already been launched for the Chinese domestic market, but the version for our continent was specifically tailored for European needs. It offers a 600 kWh battery capacity, which should give it a range of over 500 km on a full battery charge. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #283728;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Chinese brands aim for e-trucks<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The launch of both Farizon and Homtruck are part of Geely\u2019s international expansion strategy, which it dubbed \u2018Born Global\u2019. The group says it wants to work closely with international partners to further develop \u201cdurable and intelligent logistical solutions worldwide\u201d, extending its range from cars to commercial vehicles.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">And it is not alone in doing so. After a big push with electric cars, more Chinese brands now seem to step up a gear in the commercial vehicle world. After Maxus and Farizon, <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=193167&amp;action=edit&amp;classic-editor\">Delivan<\/a> also prepares to enter the European market.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">And Homtruck seems to confirm signals that <a href=\"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/2026\/03\/17\/is-e-truck-domination-next-on-chinas-radar\/\">Chinese manufacturers won\u2019t stop at light commercial vehicles<\/a>.
