Il convient \u00e9galement de noter que l'enqu\u00eate a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 la mi-janvier, avant que les nouvelles tensions g\u00e9opolitiques impliquant l'Iran ne fassent repartir les prix du p\u00e9trole \u00e0 la hausse.<\/p>\n<p>Ce moment est important, car l'attitude des consommateurs \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique s'est av\u00e9r\u00e9e historiquement tr\u00e8s sensible aux co\u00fbts des carburants, ce qui sugg\u00e8re que le niveau d'h\u00e9sitation mesur\u00e9 ici pourrait ne pas \u00eatre enti\u00e8rement fix\u00e9 si les prix \u00e0 la pompe augmentent de mani\u00e8re significative.<\/p>\n<h3>Seulement 38% envisagent le changement<\/h3>\n<p>Selon le barom\u00e8tre, 38% des Belges d\u00e9clarent qu'ils envisageraient de choisir une voiture enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique pour leur prochain v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p>L'h\u00e9sitation est encore plus prononc\u00e9e sur le march\u00e9 de l'occasion, puisque 74% d\u00e9clarent qu'ils n'envisageraient pas d'acheter un VE d'occasion. Parmi eux, pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 \u00e9voquent des pr\u00e9occupations concernant la fiabilit\u00e9 des batteries, ainsi que des contraintes budg\u00e9taires et une r\u00e9ticence g\u00e9n\u00e9rale \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard des achats d'occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Le co\u00fbt appara\u00eet comme l'obstacle principal tout au long de l'enqu\u00eate. Quelque 60% des personnes interrog\u00e9es estiment que les pouvoirs publics ne font pas assez pour soutenir financi\u00e8rement la transition, tandis que 45% souhaiteraient des subventions directes \u00e0 l'achat et qu'environ un quart d'entre elles consid\u00e8rent les incitations fiscales comme un levier potentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 du v\u00e9hicule lui-m\u00eame, 71% citent les co\u00fbts suppl\u00e9mentaires - tels que l'installation d'une borne de recharge \u00e0 domicile ou l'adaptation de leur propri\u00e9t\u00e9 - comme un obstacle important.<\/p>\n<p>L'infrastructure de recharge est \u00e9galement souvent per\u00e7ue comme insuffisante, bien que cette perception ne refl\u00e8te pas totalement la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle nationale. Dans des r\u00e9gions telles que la Flandre, le r\u00e9seau de recharge public s'est rapidement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme ad\u00e9quat pour une utilisation quotidienne. Parmi les Belges qui ont l'intention d'acheter une voiture au cours des 12 prochains mois, l'int\u00e9r\u00eat pour l'\u00e9lectrification semble beaucoup plus fort que ne le sugg\u00e8re le sentiment g\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p>\n<p>Quelque 72% d\u00e9clarent qu'ils envisageraient d'acheter au moins un v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique, 31% affirmant qu'ils le feraient \u201ccertainement\u201d. Dans le m\u00eame temps, une proportion identique consid\u00e8re toujours une voiture \u00e0 moteur \u00e0 combustion, ce qui souligne que pour la plupart des acheteurs, l'\u00e9lectrique n'est pas encore un choix par d\u00e9faut, mais une option parmi d'autres.<\/p>\n<p>Cette dualit\u00e9 permet d'expliquer l'apparente contradiction de l'enqu\u00eate. Si beaucoup h\u00e9sitent \u00e0 s'engager pleinement dans la conduite \u00e9lectrique, une grande partie d'entre eux restent ouverts \u00e0 la conduite \u00e9lectrique parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 d'autres options, en pesant le co\u00fbt, la commodit\u00e9 et les risques per\u00e7us.<\/p>\n<h3>Pas avant 2035 ?<\/h3>\n<p>L'enqu\u00eate met \u00e9galement en \u00e9vidence une ambivalence plus large \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de la politique de mobilit\u00e9. Seuls 32% des Belges se disent enthousiastes \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard des mesures politiques actuelles en faveur de la mobilit\u00e9 durable, tandis que 40% restent prudents.<\/p>\n<p>Les attentes concernant la transition sont tout aussi mod\u00e9r\u00e9es, une part importante des r\u00e9pondants estimant que le passage complet \u00e0 la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique ne se fera pas avant 2035, voire plus tard. Dans le m\u00eame temps, l'assouplissement de l'objectif z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission de l'Union europ\u00e9enne pour 2035 est per\u00e7u positivement par 54% des Belges, ce qui souligne \u00e0 quel point la transition reste incertaine ou pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00c9cart entre la perception et la r\u00e9alit\u00e9<\/h3>\n<p>En fin de compte, le barom\u00e8tre refl\u00e8te moins un rejet de la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique qu'un instantan\u00e9 des convictions des consommateurs. Bon nombre des obstacles cit\u00e9s refl\u00e8tent un foss\u00e9 persistant entre la perception et la r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L'accent mis sur le prix d'achat initial, par exemple, ne tient pas compte du co\u00fbt total de possession, pour lequel les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques sont de plus en plus comp\u00e9titifs en raison de leurs co\u00fbts de fonctionnement et d'entretien moins \u00e9lev\u00e9s. De m\u00eame, les inqui\u00e9tudes concernant la d\u00e9gradation des batteries restent tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandues malgr\u00e9 les preuves de plus en plus nombreuses que les batteries des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques modernes durent beaucoup plus longtemps que pr\u00e9vu et peuvent m\u00eame durer plus longtemps que le v\u00e9hicule lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n<p>Ce d\u00e9ficit de perception n'est pas le seul fait des consommateurs. Les constructeurs automobiles et les d\u00e9cideurs politiques ont eu du mal \u00e0 formuler une proposition de valeur claire et coh\u00e9rente, tandis que la coexistence des technologies \u00e9lectriques et de combustion continue \u00e0 brouiller le r\u00e9cit de la transition. Le barom\u00e8tre montre que les distances de d\u00e9placement restent relativement limit\u00e9es : en Belgique, 88% des personnes interrog\u00e9es parcourent moins de 50 kilom\u00e8tres pour se rendre \u00e0 leur travail ou \u00e0 leurs \u00e9tudes au cours d'une journ\u00e9e normale.<\/p>\n<p>Ce chiffre est proche de la moyenne europ\u00e9enne et sugg\u00e8re que, dans la pratique, les limitations d'autonomie ne sont pas susceptibles de constituer une contrainte d\u00e9cisive pour la plupart des conducteurs. Pourtant, les pr\u00e9occupations relatives \u00e0 l'autonomie et \u00e0 la disponibilit\u00e9 de la recharge continuent de peser sur la perception des consommateurs, ce qui illustre encore le foss\u00e9 entre les modes d'utilisation r\u00e9els et la fa\u00e7on dont la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique est per\u00e7ue.<\/p>\n<h3>Impact des prix de l'\u00e9nergie<\/h3>\n<p>Toutefois, l'impact des prix de l'\u00e9nergie est largement absent de l'enqu\u00eate, de m\u00eame que la comparaison entre le sentiment belge et les tendances europ\u00e9ennes plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rales.<\/p>\n<p>Au niveau europ\u00e9en, le m\u00eame barom\u00e8tre montre que l'int\u00e9r\u00eat pour les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques a l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diminu\u00e9, avec seulement 27% d'Europ\u00e9ens envisageant l'achat d'un VE, contre 31% deux ans plus t\u00f4t, ce qui sugg\u00e8re un plafonnement de l'adoption.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le m\u00eame temps, la voiture priv\u00e9e reste dominante, 86% des Europ\u00e9ens en poss\u00e9dant au moins une, m\u00eame si une majorit\u00e9 d'entre eux d\u00e9clarent avoir adapt\u00e9 leurs habitudes de mobilit\u00e9 \u00e0 des solutions plus durables. Cette combinaison d'un changement de comportement lent et d'une d\u00e9pendance persistante \u00e0 l'\u00e9gard de la voiture refl\u00e8te la situation en Belgique.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, la Belgique pr\u00e9sente \u00e9galement une dynamique sp\u00e9cifique que l'enqu\u00eate ne saisit pas enti\u00e8rement. Sous l'impulsion de l'\u00e9lectrification rapide des voitures de soci\u00e9t\u00e9, le pays est devenu ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es l'un des premiers en Europe pour l'adoption des VE dans les nouvelles immatriculations.<\/p>\n<p>Cela cr\u00e9e un \u00e9cart croissant entre la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 du march\u00e9 et le sentiment des consommateurs : alors que les acheteurs priv\u00e9s restent h\u00e9sitants, une part importante des conducteurs passe d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique par le biais des flottes d'entreprise, ce qui alimentera progressivement le march\u00e9 de l'occasion.<\/p>\n<h4>Les attitudes peuvent changer<\/h4>\n<p>L'actualit\u00e9 r\u00e9cente montre \u00e9galement la rapidit\u00e9 avec laquelle les attitudes peuvent changer lorsque les prix des carburants augmentent. Depuis l'escalade du conflit iranien, les prix des carburants ont fortement augment\u00e9, les prix de l'essence dans l'UE ayant progress\u00e9 d'environ 12% pour atteindre 1,84 euro par litre, tandis qu'en Belgique, le diesel a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 les 2,10 euros par litre au cours des derni\u00e8res semaines.<\/p>\n<p>Cela d\u00e9clenche d\u00e9j\u00e0 des signaux comportementaux : dans toute l'Europe, les volumes de recherche de VE ont augment\u00e9 de 50%, tandis que les ventes de VE d'occasion ont presque doubl\u00e9 en l'espace de quelques semaines. Les analystes notent que ces changements ont tendance \u00e0 s'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer lorsque les prix des carburants franchissent des seuils psychologiques cl\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Autour de 2 euros par litre, la diff\u00e9rence de co\u00fbt devient plus nette ; au-del\u00e0 de 2,20 \u00e0 2,50 euros par litre, l'avantage en termes de co\u00fbt total de la conduite \u00e9lectrique devient difficile \u00e0 ignorer, et les comportements changent de mani\u00e8re plus d\u00e9cisive. En ce sens, le barom\u00e8tre d'Europ Assistance capte un moment d'h\u00e9sitation qui peut s'av\u00e9rer plus fluide qu'il n'y para\u00eet au premier abord.<\/p>\n<p>Elle montre une population qui ne rejette pas la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique, mais qui attend des incitations financi\u00e8res plus claires, des risques per\u00e7us plus faibles et des conditions qui rendent la transition \u00e0 la fois \u00e9conomiquement et pratiquement \u00e9vidente.
