Pour l'instant, c'est le r\u00eave de Cerfontaine."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Wallone des A\u00e9roports (SOWAER) a nomm\u00e9 un nouveau gestionnaire pour l'a\u00e9rodrome de Cerfontaine, situ\u00e9 dans la province de Namur. Le nouveau gestionnaire a pour objectif de rendre le site plus respectueux de l'environnement, notamment par l'utilisation d'un avion \u00e9lectrique pour l'\u00e9cole de parachutisme qui y est implant\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Mais ce n'est pas si simple : Les avions enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectriques sp\u00e9cifiquement con\u00e7us pour le parachutisme n'existent pas encore sous une forme commerciale et op\u00e9rationnelle, bien qu'ils soient actuellement en cours de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n<h4>Patience<\/h4>\n<p>Pour rendre le site plus respectueux de l'environnement, Paul Marien, l'un des nouveaux responsables, souhaite mettre l'accent sur les panneaux solaires, l'organisation de circuits en v\u00e9los \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 partir de l'a\u00e9rodrome d'une soixantaine d'hectares, de vols en ULM, ou encore d'un saut en parachute combin\u00e9 \u00e0 une nuit d'h\u00f4tel \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des lacs de l'Eau d'Heire.<\/p>\n<p>Marien, qui est \u00e9galement \u00e0 la t\u00eate du club de parachutisme, souhaiterait qu'\u00e0 l'avenir de tels sauts soient effectu\u00e9s \u00e0 l'aide d'un avion \u00e9lectrique. \u201cNous sommes en contact avec une entreprise norv\u00e9gienne qui transforme les avions thermiques en avions \u00e9lectriques\u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Marien \u00e0 la RTBF.<\/p>\n<p>Le hic, c'est que la technologie ne sera pas pr\u00eate avant 2027 et qu'elle ne sera pas bon march\u00e9 : l'avion et le syst\u00e8me de batteries co\u00fbteront ensemble plusieurs millions d'euros.<\/p>\n<h4>Probl\u00e8me de batterie<\/h4>\n<p>Des avions \u00e9lectriques ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s qui, en principe, conviendraient au parachutisme. L'exemple le plus connu est l'eCaravan des Am\u00e9ricains australiens MagniX et AeroTEC, un Cessna 208 Caravan converti en avion \u00e0 propulsion enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n<p>Et il est certain que l'avion est \u00e9conome en carburant. L'eCaravan a consomm\u00e9 moins de $6 d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 pour un vol d'essai de 30 minutes, contre $300 \u00e0 $400 de carburant pour un moteur classique.<\/p>\n<p>Mais il y avait des limites importantes. Les batteries prenaient beaucoup de place. Elles ajoutaient un poids important - un probl\u00e8me souvent encore classique pour les batteries de v\u00e9hicules - ce qui signifie que l'eCaravan ne pouvait transporter que quatre \u00e0 cinq passagers, au lieu d'un maximum de 14, sur une distance de 160 km. C'est l'une des raisons pour lesquelles AeroTEC a ramen\u00e9 l'avion \u00e0 son moteur \u00e0 combustion d'origine.<\/p>\n<p>Pour le parachutisme, ces questions de batterie sont particuli\u00e8rement probl\u00e9matiques. Un avion de parachutisme doit monter \u00e0 une altitude de 3 000 \u00e0 4 000 m\u00e8tres plusieurs fois par jour, ce qui consomme beaucoup d'\u00e9nergie et n\u00e9cessite une recharge rapide.<\/p>\n<p>En d'autres termes, un \u2018saut\u2019 ne dure g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement que 15 \u00e0 20 minutes, ce qui permet \u00e0 la plupart des avions de parachutisme d'effectuer trois \u00e0 quatre chargements par heure. Si un avion doit passer une heure sur le chargeur apr\u00e8s chaque saut, le mod\u00e8le \u00e9conomique n'est pas viable.<\/p>\n<p>En outre, de nombreux petits a\u00e9roports ne disposent pas encore des connexions \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 haute tension co\u00fbteuses n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la recharge de m\u00e9gawatts.<\/p>\n<h4>Moins de nuisances sonores<\/h4>\n<p>Toutefois, cette technologie pourrait \u00e9galement entra\u00eener une petite r\u00e9volution dans le fonctionnement des a\u00e9rodromes. Le principal obstacle auquel se heurtent aujourd'hui de nombreuses zones d'atterrissage est la pollution sonore. Les riverains se plaignent souvent du vrombissement constant des avions au d\u00e9collage.<\/p>\n<p>Les avions E sont jusqu'\u00e0 75% plus silencieux pendant la mont\u00e9e. Cela signifie que les zones de largage peuvent voler plus fr\u00e9quemment et plus longtemps sans compromettre les autorisations locales.<\/p>\n<p>C'est \u00e9galement plus agr\u00e9able pour les sauteurs eux-m\u00eames. En fonction du vent lat\u00e9ral et de la position de la porte, il n'est plus n\u00e9cessaire de rester dans les gaz d'\u00e9chappement d'un turbopropulseur rugissant en attendant de pouvoir sauter.<\/p>\n<h4>Dovetail Electric Aviation<\/h4>\n<p>Le club de parachutisme de Cerfontaine devra donc attendre encore un peu. Il existe des projets pilotes, mais la flotte se compose encore presque exclusivement d'avions \u00e0 turbopropulseurs qui consomment beaucoup de k\u00e9ros\u00e8ne. Les versions hybrides-\u00e9lectriques sont probablement l'option la plus rapide pour cette application.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que... Dovetail Electric Aviation, pionnier de la conversion d'avions existants \u00e0 la propulsion \u00e9lectrique, et Skydive Voss, premier op\u00e9rateur de parachutisme en Norv\u00e8ge, ont sign\u00e9 un accord de partenariat pour convertir plusieurs Cessna Caravan 208 en avions \u00e9lectriques. Ils \u00e9tudieront \u00e9galement ensemble la possibilit\u00e9 de convertir d'autres petits avions de parachutisme, tels que les Cessna 182 et 206.<\/p>\n<p>Les premiers vols d'essai pourraient avoir lieu cette ann\u00e9e.
