Deprez, qui vit pr\u00e8s de Barcelone, a \u00e9t\u00e9 priv\u00e9 d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 pendant pr\u00e8s d'une semaine et, selon ses propres dires, c'\u00e9tait l'enfer, en particulier <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">en tant que famille avec deux enfants en bas \u00e2ge.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>L'\u00e9nergie solaire dans l'espace<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">M. Deprez a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s'int\u00e9resser \u00e0 l'\u00e9nergie solaire bas\u00e9e sur l'espace (SBSP), une technologie dans laquelle des satellites \u00e9quip\u00e9s de panneaux solaires transmettent l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 produite \u00e0 la Terre par le biais d'ondes radio. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Cela vous permet de fournir de l'\u00e9nergie sans fil \u00e0 des endroits qui n'ont pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Les panneaux solaires ont un meilleur rendement dans l'espace : il n'y a pas de nuit ni de couverture nuageuse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Entre-temps, les panneaux solaires sont beaucoup plus efficaces qu'auparavant et la mise en orbite de satellites co\u00fbte moins cher, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des acteurs commerciaux comme SpaceX d'Elon Musk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Orbite terrestre basse<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">TerraSpark commencera par des satellites plus petits situ\u00e9s \u00e0 environ 1 200 kilom\u00e8tres, dans les r\u00e9gions sup\u00e9rieures de l'orbite terrestre basse (LEO). Le premier sera lanc\u00e9 l'ann\u00e9e prochaine. Ensuite, TerraSpark a pour objectif de passer \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle sup\u00e9rieure. De plus en plus haut, jusqu'\u00e0 atteindre les satellites g\u00e9ostationnaires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>TerraSpark\u00a0<span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">vise dans un premier temps les projets de petite envergure, <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">mais plus tard, l'\u00e9nergie solaire pourrait \u00e9galement contribuer \u00e0 absorber les pics de charge sur le r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique. \u201c<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">En fonction de l'orbite autour de la Terre, il est possible d'alimenter en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 tous les endroits de la plan\u00e8te deux fois par jour\u201d, explique M. Deprez.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">\u201cTout comme vous \u00e9tablissez une connexion de donn\u00e9es avec la Terre via un satellite, vous pouvez \u00e9galement utiliser les ondes radio pour transmettre de l'\u00e9nergie via un faisceau bien cibl\u00e9. Comme un chargeur sans fil, mais \u00e0 distance.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u2018Techniquement r\u00e9alisable\u2019<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">La mani\u00e8re dont l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 est achemin\u00e9e vers la Terre ressemble \u00e0 une tour de transmission mobile, qui \u00e9met des ondes radio \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle mais peut aussi les ajuster avec pr\u00e9cision.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Pendant le transport, 85 % du rendement reste intact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>La NASA et l'Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne ont confirm\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises que le projet \u00e9tait techniquement r\u00e9alisable et qu'il n'y avait pas d'obstacles physiques. Il restera cependant co\u00fbteux, car il faut d'\u00e9normes structures dans l'espace. L'objectif commercial de TerraSpark pour 2030 est ambitieux et risqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h4>Sujet sensible<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Les radiations sont un sujet sensible qui suscite facilement des discussions sur leurs effets sur la sant\u00e9. C'est pourquoi TerraSpark mettra tout en \u0153uvre pour respecter les normes de l'ICNIRP (International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">L'entreprise ajoute \u00e9galement une s\u00e9curit\u00e9 suppl\u00e9mentaire : des cl\u00f4tures seront install\u00e9es autour des antennes et un signal au sol v\u00e9rifiera l'absence d'obstacles. D\u00e8s que cela se produit, le satellite interrompt automatiquement le transport de l'\u00e9nergie. \u201cApr\u00e8s tout, si l'\u00e9nergie spatiale devient aussi courante que l'internet spatial, elle doit \u00eatre s\u00fbre.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>TerraSpark n'est pas seul, il fait partie d'une vague mondiale. En Europe, nous connaissons le programme Solaris de l'Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne.
