Pr\u00e8s de trois conducteurs wallons sur quatre (72%) admettent qu'il leur arrive de garer leur v\u00e9hicule de mani\u00e8re g\u00eanante. C'est ce que r\u00e9v\u00e8le une \u00e9tude de l'Agence wallonne de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re (AWSR).<\/p>\n

Les situations les plus courantes sont le stationnement trop pr\u00e8s d'un passage pi\u00e9ton, sur un trottoir ou en double file. L'AWSR souligne qu'une voiture gar\u00e9e \u201cjuste pour un moment\u201d peut d\u00e9clencher une r\u00e9action en cha\u00eene de situations dangereuses.<\/p>\n

Pas de honte<\/h4>\n

L'enqu\u00eate de l'AWSR r\u00e9v\u00e8le que pr\u00e8s d'un conducteur sur deux (45%) admet se garer occasionnellement trop pr\u00e8s d'un passage pour pi\u00e9tons, et un sur dix (10%) d\u00e9clare m\u00eame se garer sur le passage pour pi\u00e9tons lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n

Plus d'un r\u00e9pondant sur trois, soit 36%, d\u00e9clare \u00e9galement qu'il lui arrive de se garer sur le trottoir. Le stationnement en double file est \u00e9galement une pratique courante : plus d'un r\u00e9pondant sur quatre (28%) l'a d\u00e9j\u00e0 fait.<\/p>\n

Enfin, pr\u00e8s d'un conducteur wallon sur quatre (22%) admet s'\u00eatre arr\u00eat\u00e9 au moins une fois sur une piste cyclable et plus d'un sur dix (13%) sur une piste cyclable.<\/p>\n

Sous-estimer l'impact<\/h4>\n

L'AWSR rappelle qu'il est toutefois interdit de stationner ou m\u00eame de s'arr\u00eater sur un trottoir - m\u00eame pour quelques minutes - sauf indication sp\u00e9cifique de la signalisation. Elle note \u00e9galement que de nombreux conducteurs sous-estiment fortement l'impact de leurs mauvaises habitudes de stationnement.<\/p>\n

En plus de perturber gravement la circulation, le stationnement en double file ou sur un trottoir ou une piste cyclable augmente le risque d'accident en obligeant les autres usagers de la route \u00e0 s'engager sur la chauss\u00e9e ou \u00e0 effectuer des man\u0153uvres dangereuses.<\/p>\n

Amendes<\/h4>\n

Pour mettre en \u00e9vidence les dangers de cette pratique, l'AWSR a lanc\u00e9 une campagne de sensibilisation. L'objectif est de souligner les r\u00e8gles applicables et leur importance pour la protection des usagers de la route, en particulier les personnes \u00e0 mobilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite, les pi\u00e9tons et les cyclistes.<\/p>\n

En 2024, 7 606 contraventions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dress\u00e9es en Wallonie pour stationnement sur un trottoir, l'infraction la plus fr\u00e9quente. Viennent ensuite le stationnement dans une zone interdite malgr\u00e9 un panneau de signalisation (6 890) et le stationnement sur un espace r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux personnes \u00e0 mobilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite (1 939).<\/p>\n

Ces infractions sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement class\u00e9es au premier degr\u00e9 (58 \u20ac) ou au second degr\u00e9 (116 \u20ac).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
