Apr\u00e8s premi\u00e8re annonce du #2 pour 2026<\/a> et m\u00eame montrant des photos de prototypes camoufl\u00e9s<\/a>, Smart vient de d\u00e9voiler la version conceptuelle de la Fortwo qui lui succ\u00e9dera. Le Concept #2 allie la forme originale de la Fortwo aux codes de design modernes de la marque, et donnera naissance \u00e0 une version de production \u00e0 Paris en octobre.<\/p>\n

Depuis sa renaissance sous l'\u00e9gide de Geely, qui a pris une participation de 50% en 2019, Smart s'est \u00e9loign\u00e9e de son ADN original de citadine super-compacte. Les #1, #3 et #5 sont tous des SUV \u00e9lectriques, ce dernier mesurant pr\u00e8s de deux fois la longueur de la Fortwo originale (ou City-Coup\u00e9, comme elle s'appelait \u00e0 l'origine) de 1998. Mais la marque n'a pas oubli\u00e9 ses racines et ram\u00e8nera la petite voiture \u00e0 deux places dans le courant de l'ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Le successeur de la Fortwo repose sur une toute nouvelle architecture<\/h4>\n

Pour nous pr\u00e9parer au lancement officiel du mod\u00e8le au Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris en octobre, Smart a d\u00e9voil\u00e9 le concept #2 \u00e0 l'occasion du salon Auto China 2026 \u00e0 P\u00e9kin. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u par l'\u00e9quipe de design mondial de Mercedes-Benz, qui dispose \u00e9galement d'un centre de design \u00e0 Shanghai, et est bas\u00e9 sur la toute nouvelle architecture compacte \u00e9lectrique (ECA).<\/p>\n

En termes de design, le Smart Concept #2 fait fortement r\u00e9f\u00e9rence au mod\u00e8le original d'il y a pr\u00e8s de 30 ans, tout en lui conf\u00e9rant un aspect plus premium. La carrosserie blanc mat est rehauss\u00e9e d'\u00e9l\u00e9ments dor\u00e9s et de d\u00e9tails raffin\u00e9s tels que des lani\u00e8res de cuir dans le bouclier avant - bien que nous ne comptions pas sur ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments pour la production.<\/p>\n

Une taille minuscule, mais une autonomie \u00e9lectrique plus utilisable<\/h4>\n

Des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la Smart moderne sont \u00e9galement visibles, comme les phares triangulaires, similaires \u00e0 ceux des mod\u00e8les #1 et #3. Avec une longueur de 2 792 mm, la Smart Concept #2 reste proche de la taille de l'original, avec un diam\u00e8tre de braquage serr\u00e9 de 6,95 m\u00e8tres qui garantit une man\u0153uvre ais\u00e9e dans les espaces urbains restreints.<\/p>\n

Mais la Smart #2 promet d'\u00eatre beaucoup plus utilisable que son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur, la EQ Fortwo, qui n'offrait que 145 km d'autonomie. La plateforme ECA offre suffisamment d'espace pour accueillir une batterie d'une autonomie WLTP de pr\u00e8s de 300 km, tandis que la charge rapide de 10 \u00e0 80% prend moins de 20 minutes. La fonctionnalit\u00e9 V2L permettra \u00e9galement de charger des accessoires externes \u00e0 partir de la batterie haute tension.<\/p>\n

Premi\u00e8re mondiale \u00e0 Paris<\/h4>\n

Pour plus de d\u00e9tails, notamment sur l'int\u00e9rieur du mod\u00e8le, il faudra attendre l'automne, car le mod\u00e8le de s\u00e9rie de la smart #2, la nouvelle fortwo, sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en premi\u00e8re mondiale au Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris en octobre 2026.<\/p>\n
