Comme BYD avec Denza, Leapmotor veut sa propre marque de luxe. Plus par n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 que par ambition technique. Mais une marque \u00e0 bas prix peut-elle y parvenir ?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Leapmotor, le fabricant chinois de VE soutenu par Stellantis qui a enregistr\u00e9 l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re son premier b\u00e9n\u00e9fice annuel, se pr\u00e9pare \u00e0 aller bien au-del\u00e0 de ses racines abordables. Selon le m\u00e9dia chinois LatePost Auto, qui cite plusieurs sources ind\u00e9pendantes, l'entreprise pr\u00e9voit de lancer une deuxi\u00e8me marque en 2027 pour les v\u00e9hicules dont le prix est sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 300 000 yuans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Le prix chinois, qui avoisine les 40 000 euros, ne refl\u00e8te peut-\u00eatre pas cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9, mais il sugg\u00e8re que la marque souhaite s'orienter vers le haut de gamme. Aucun nom, langage de conception ou mod\u00e8le sp\u00e9cifique n'a encore \u00e9t\u00e9 divulgu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\">Tension structurelle<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\">Cette strat\u00e9gie, qui n'est pas officiellement confirm\u00e9e par Leapmotor, n'est pas sans raison et n'est pas difficile \u00e0 comprendre. Une tension structurelle traverse une grande partie de l'industrie chinoise des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques : le volume sans les marges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Leapmotor a vendu 596 555 v\u00e9hicules en 2025, soit plus du double de l'ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, mais son prix de vente moyen n'\u00e9tait que de 125 000 yuans (16 000 euros), et le b\u00e9n\u00e9fice net par v\u00e9hicule \u00e9tait de 905 yuans, soit environ 116 euros.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Une part importante du b\u00e9n\u00e9fice annuel de la marque provient de la vente de cr\u00e9dits carbone plut\u00f4t que de la marge sur les v\u00e9hicules. Le fait de passer \u00e0 un million d'unit\u00e9s, comme l'entreprise l'a publiquement pr\u00e9vu pour 2026, ne r\u00e9sout pas automatiquement ce probl\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Le sc\u00e9nario est familier. Pour imiter Audi, Toyota a cr\u00e9\u00e9 Lexus \u00e0 l'\u00e9poque. Hyundai a cr\u00e9\u00e9 Genesis. BYD a cr\u00e9\u00e9 Denza et Yangwang. Rebrander une technologie mise \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle et la vendre \u00e0 un prix plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 a un sens \u00e9conomique. La grande diff\u00e9rence est que les marques susmentionn\u00e9es visaient d'abord et avant tout les \u00c9tats-Unis, un march\u00e9 qui reste interdit aux marques chinoises.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Leapmotor devra donc se concentrer sur son terrain d'origine, o\u00f9 les acteurs haut de gamme sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 nombreux. Ce qui distingue Leapmotor de la plupart des \u2018essais\u2019 chinois de v\u00e9hicules haut de gamme, c'est le partenariat avec Stellantis. L'entreprise commune 51\/49, qui permet \u00e0 Leapmotor de vendre ses v\u00e9hicules dans toute l'Europe par l'interm\u00e9diaire du r\u00e9seau de concessionnaires de Stellantis, lui fournit l'infrastructure que les jeunes entreprises chinoises doivent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement mettre en place \u00e0 partir de z\u00e9ro.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\">Maserati comme mod\u00e8le ?<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\">L'exp\u00e9rience de Stellantis avec Maserati, bien qu'il s'agisse d'une division en difficult\u00e9, pourrait s'av\u00e9rer utile pour les op\u00e9rations de vente au d\u00e9tail de produits de luxe et les attentes en mati\u00e8re d'apr\u00e8s-vente. Il s'agit d'une infrastructure diff\u00e9rente que les marques ax\u00e9es sur le volume sous-estiment r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Les risques sont r\u00e9els. Il faut des ann\u00e9es pour \u00e9tablir la cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9 d'une marque dans la gamme de prix sup\u00e9rieure, et si le nouveau label partage trop visiblement des plates-formes ou des cha\u00eenes d'approvisionnement avec la marque principale, il devient structurellement difficile de maintenir un prix sup\u00e9rieur cr\u00e9dible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Cependant, comme Stellantis cherche \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des mod\u00e8les bas\u00e9s sur la technologie de Leapmotor, l'inverse pourrait devenir une m\u00e9thode de travail pour Leapmotor Deluxe : utiliser la technologie de Maserati avec un visage et une exp\u00e9rience d'utilisateur chinois pourrait b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier aux deux marques et mettre Leapmotor face \u00e0 Yangwang.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Ce qui est clair, c'est que pour une entreprise qui a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 son premier b\u00e9n\u00e9fice annuel il y a moins de deux mois avec des marges tr\u00e8s faibles, le pari de la prime est moins un luxe qu'une n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 commerciale.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Europe&#8217;s fastest-growing Chinese EV brand is planning a second, higher-priced label for 2027.
