Amazon a lev\u00e9 un rideau que peu d'acteurs du secteur de la logistique souhaitaient voir s'ouvrir. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a annonc\u00e9 le lancement d'Amazon Supply Chain Services, une offre logistique compl\u00e8te \u00e0 laquelle toute entreprise peut d\u00e9sormais acc\u00e9der, qu'elle vende ou non sur Amazon. \u2018Comme Amazon Web Services\u2019<\/h4>\n

D'une certaine mani\u00e8re, la d\u00e9cision \u2018logique\u2019 d'Amazon est en pr\u00e9paration depuis longtemps. Avec la production de divertissements, les services num\u00e9riques, les robots d'intelligence artificielle, les jeux, la vente au d\u00e9tail de produits alimentaires, etc. L'extension de sa branche logistique interne \u00e0 une activit\u00e9 externe aurait facilement pu constituer sa premi\u00e8re incursion dans un nouveau territoire. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

S'adressant aux journalistes, Peter Larsen, vice-pr\u00e9sident d'Amazon Supply Chain Services, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l'entreprise mettait ses capacit\u00e9s logistiques \u00e0 la disposition des entreprises ext\u00e9rieures \u201cun peu comme Amazon Web Services l'a fait pour l'informatique en nuage\u201d. Il s'agissait d'un syst\u00e8me logiciel d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 en interne, faute de solution appropri\u00e9e en dehors de l'entreprise, et qui a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n

Ainsi, AWS est pass\u00e9 d'un centre de co\u00fbts interne \u00e0 une entreprise de $100 milliards de dollars qui alimente la moiti\u00e9 de l'internet. Ce que Larsen signale, c'est qu'Amazon a l'intention de faire la m\u00eame chose dans le secteur de la logistique, y compris dans les entrep\u00f4ts, les camions et les camionnettes de livraison. En 2025, l'entreprise a livr\u00e9 environ 13 milliards d'articles dans le monde entier. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, elle est le plus grand transporteur de colis en volume. Plus le r\u00e9seau est grand, plus il peut optimiser les itin\u00e9raires et r\u00e9duire les kilom\u00e8tres parcourus. Chaque nouveau client qui rejoint Amazon Supply Chain Services ajoute du volume \u00e0 un r\u00e9seau qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour l'\u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n

Les effets d'entra\u00eenement s'\u00e9tendent bien au-del\u00e0 des \u00c9tats-Unis. Si Amazon Supply Chain Services \u00e9volue comme l'a fait AWS - et il n'y a pratiquement aucune raison de penser le contraire - le r\u00e9seau mondial de livraison du dernier kilom\u00e8tre penchera en faveur de l'infrastructure d'Amazon.
