Vendredi dernier, Stellantis et Leapmotor ont annonc\u00e9 qu'ils \u00e9largissaient leur partenariat strat\u00e9gique par le biais d'une s\u00e9rie d'initiatives visant \u00e0 tirer parti du succ\u00e8s initial de leur collaboration. Entre-temps, Opel, la marque allemande de Stellantis, a officiellement confirm\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement conjoint d'un nouveau SUV \u00e9lectrique avec Leapmotor. L'intention d'\u00e9tendre le partenariat strat\u00e9gique vise plusieurs niveaux. Deuxi\u00e8mement, permettre \u00e0 la nouvelle Opel C-SUV produite \u00e0 Saragosse de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de composants issus de l'\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me Leapmotor International (LPMI), am\u00e9liorant ainsi l'accessibilit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re. Bref aper\u00e7u historique<\/h4>\n

En octobre 2023, Stellantis est devenue le principal actionnaire de Leapmotor en acqu\u00e9rant une participation d'environ 21%. Parall\u00e8lement, Leapmotor International (LPMI) a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e en tant que coentreprise Stellantis\/49% Leapmotor, dot\u00e9e de droits exclusifs sur la vente et la fabrication des produits Leapmotor en dehors de la Chine \u00e9largie.<\/p>\n

L'activit\u00e9 de LPMI a connu une forte croissance en Europe au cours des 18 derniers mois. Depuis le lancement des mod\u00e8les T03 et C10 en 2024, LPMI a \u00e9tendu sa pr\u00e9sence dans la r\u00e9gion \u00e0 plus de 850 points de vente et de service, avec plus de 40 000 exp\u00e9ditions en Europe en 2025.<\/p>\n

Deuxi\u00e8mement, Stellantis et Leapmotor collaboreraient \u00e9galement \u00e0 l'achat par l'interm\u00e9diaire de LPMI, en tirant parti de leur \u00e9chelle et de leur force combin\u00e9es. L'objectif serait de renforcer la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 des prix en tirant parti de l'\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me chinois des v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 \u00e9nergie nouvelle, tout en utilisant les capacit\u00e9s de la cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement europ\u00e9enne pour renforcer la r\u00e9silience et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la mise sur le march\u00e9 des nouveaux mod\u00e8les.<\/p>\n

Enfin, dans le but de renforcer consid\u00e9rablement l'avenir de l'usine de Villaverde, \u00e0 Madrid, l'expansion pr\u00e9vue pourrait inclure l'affectation d'un nouveau v\u00e9hicule Leapmotor \u00e0 l'usine, avec un calendrier potentiel \u00e0 partir du premier semestre 2028. Ceci serait particuli\u00e8rement pertinent \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re de la fin pr\u00e9vue de la production de la Citro\u00ebn C4 dans cette usine.<\/p>\n

Parall\u00e8lement, la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de l'usine fait l'objet de discussions en vue d'un transfert potentiel \u00e0 la filiale espagnole de LPMI. La fabrication \u00e0 Villaverde s'alignerait sur les exigences europ\u00e9ennes \u00e0 venir, et les v\u00e9hicules seraient commercialis\u00e9s par LPMI sur les march\u00e9s d'Europe, du Moyen-Orient et d'Afrique (MEA).<\/p>\n
