Une bande rouge, des garnitures \u00e9cossaises et le mode GTI r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 166 kW, un ch\u00e2ssis adaptatif et un blocage du diff\u00e9rentiel de l'essieu avant. Le constructeur ouvrira les pr\u00e9ventes de l'ID. Polo GTI \u00e0 l'automne \u00e0 des prix d\u00e9butant juste en dessous de 39 000 euros en Allemagne. En Belgique, les prix atteindront probablement 42 000 euros.<\/p>\n<p>La Volkswagen Polo GTI est l'une de ces voitures qui a cultiv\u00e9 sa propre culture de niche au fil des d\u00e9cennies. Son h\u00e9ritage est moins li\u00e9 \u00e0 la puissance brute qu'\u00e0 la sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 : une voiture relativement petite qui \u00e9tait \u00e9tonnamment rapide, pratique pour un usage quotidien et facile \u00e0 r\u00e9gler pour ceux qui voulaient plus de puissance ou se mettre en valeur.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Sch\u00e4fer, responsable de la marque VW, a soulign\u00e9 l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re que les noms embl\u00e9matiques de VW ne pouvaient pas \u00eatre transf\u00e9r\u00e9s arbitrairement \u00e0 une voiture \u00e9lectrique. La devise est la suivante : \u2018si le nom est Golf \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur, il doit \u00eatre Golf \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur\u2019. Avec la nouvelle voiture compacte \u00e9lectrique, M. Sch\u00e4fer estime manifestement que cette condition a \u00e9t\u00e9 remplie.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis septembre, il est officiellement confirm\u00e9 que l'\u00e9tude ID.2all pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e il y a trois ans sera produite en s\u00e9rie sous le nom d'ID. Polo, et que la nouvelle voiture compacte \u00e9lectrique serait \u00e9galement disponible en version GTI. C'est cette version qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e en premi\u00e8re mondiale. Cela signifie que le suffixe embl\u00e9matique GTI sera d\u00e9sormais utilis\u00e9 pour les v\u00e9hicules enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectriques.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-186406 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Scherm%C2%ADafbeelding-2026-05-18-om-09.50.22.png?resize=640%2C365&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"365\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>GTI ou GTX ?<\/h4>\n<p>Jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, VW d\u00e9signait ses mod\u00e8les \u00e9lectriques les plus sportifs sous le nom de GTX, car ceux-ci, \u00e0 l'exception de l'ID.3 GTX, sont dot\u00e9s d'une transmission int\u00e9grale \u00e9lectrique. Avec le concept ID. GTI Concept, il est apparu clairement que Volkswagen avait l'intention de faire entrer le label GTI dans l'\u00e8re \u00e9lectrique. Le \u2018I\u2019 signifie d\u00e9sormais \u2018Intelligence\u2019 ; dans la GTI classique, il signifiait \u2018Injection\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Avec la Polo, l'\u00e9tape suivante est franchie : 50 ans apr\u00e8s les d\u00e9buts de la premi\u00e8re GTI, Volkswagen pr\u00e9sente son premier mod\u00e8le enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique \u00e0 batterie portant l'acronyme mondialement connu.<\/p>\n<h4>Une vraie Polo, avec une bande rouge...<\/h4>\n<p>La ID. La Polo a fait son apparition, bien qu'encore sous camouflage, \u00e0 l'IAA de Munich en septembre dernier, et son futur langage de design \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 clairement visible. Selon le constructeur, le designer en chef de Volkswagen, Andreas Mindt, et son \u00e9quipe ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 une voiture compacte qui \u201cincarne pleinement le nouveau langage de design clair comme de l'eau de roche \u2018Pure Positive\u2019\u201d. Cependant, il \u00e9tait \u00e9galement clair que Volkswagen souhaitait cr\u00e9er un design qui rendrait la voiture compacte \u00e9lectrique instantan\u00e9ment reconnaissable comme une Polo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0La premi\u00e8re apparition du mod\u00e8le de production m'a sembl\u00e9 famili\u00e8re. Il en va de m\u00eame pour l'ID. Polo GTI. Par rapport \u00e0 la ID. Polo standard, la variante GTI est plus longue de 4,3 centim\u00e8tres, mesurant un peu moins de 4,10 m\u00e8tres. L'empattement a augment\u00e9 de sept millim\u00e8tres pour atteindre pr\u00e8s de 2,6 m\u00e8tres, tandis que la GTI est assise 1,7 cm plus bas. Il n'y a pas de diff\u00e9rence au niveau de la largeur, qui reste de l'ordre de 1,82 m\u00e8tre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La caract\u00e9ristique la plus reconnaissable de la GTI est la bande rouge \u00e0 l'avant. Sur l'ID. Polo GTI, elle s'\u00e9tend sous la barre lumineuse \u00e0 LED sur toute la largeur et int\u00e8gre le logo GTI tridimensionnel sur la gauche. Au-dessus, on trouve la barre lumineuse \u00e0 LED standard, l'embl\u00e8me VW illumin\u00e9 et les phares matriciels \u00e0 LED IQ. LIGHT Projecteurs matriciels \u00e0 diodes \u00e9lectroluminescentes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le reste de l'avant reprend \u00e9galement les motifs familiers de la GTI : en bas, une prise d'air noire en nid d'abeille sert \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 la climatisation de l'habitacle et \u00e0 celle du syst\u00e8me de batterie. Deux \u00e9l\u00e9ments verticaux rouges rappellent les crochets d'attelage du sport automobile, tandis que le spoiler avant est stylis\u00e9 comme un splitter de sport automobile.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De profil, la GTI est plus difficile \u00e0 distinguer de l'ID standard. Polo. L'indice le plus \u00e9vident est le lettrage GTI rouge int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans les jupes lat\u00e9rales arri\u00e8re. L'arri\u00e8re de la ID. Polo GTI se caract\u00e9rise par un becquet de toit visuellement divis\u00e9 en son milieu. En dessous, la lunette arri\u00e8re s'\u00e9tend loin dans les montants C. La barre lumineuse \u00e0 LED recouverte de verre des feux arri\u00e8re d\u00e9finit son apparence.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans le rouge<\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 l'int\u00e9rieur, Volkswagen s'appuie \u00e9galement sur les g\u00e8nes familiers de la GTI. L'int\u00e9rieur de la ID. Polo GTI est domin\u00e9 par le rouge et le noir. Dans le nouveau cockpit, les accents rouges ressortent : les coutures d\u00e9coratives du nouveau volant sport GTI sont mises en \u00e9vidence, et le rep\u00e8re de 12 heures sur la jante du volant est rouge, comme c'est le cas dans le sport automobile. Une \u00e9troite bande rouge s'\u00e9tend \u00e9galement sur toute la largeur du tableau de bord.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Des surpiq\u00fbres d\u00e9coratives rouges sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9sentes sur les portes et les bords ext\u00e9rieurs des si\u00e8ges sport avant et arri\u00e8re. Sur les surfaces int\u00e9rieures, un grand quadrillage de bandes blanches, grises et rouges r\u00e9interpr\u00e8te le motif \u00e9cossais des mod\u00e8les GTI historiques. L'embl\u00e8me rouge de la GTI est int\u00e9gr\u00e9 aux appuis-t\u00eate des si\u00e8ges avant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Techniquement, l'int\u00e9rieur reste largement identique \u00e0 l'ID standard. Polo. Les \u00e9crans, l'infodivertissement, les syst\u00e8mes d'aide \u00e0 la conduite et l'espace ne diff\u00e8rent pas fondamentalement. Les acheteurs qui recherchent des touches distinctives de la GTI dans le cockpit les trouveront principalement dans les couleurs, les mat\u00e9riaux et les graphiques d'affichage plut\u00f4t que dans l'architecture de fonctionnement.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-186407 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Scherm%C2%ADafbeelding-2026-05-18-om-09.50.43.png?resize=640%2C362&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"362\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Traction avant MEB+ et blocage de diff\u00e9rentiel<\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Techniquement, la GTI utilise la m\u00eame architecture de base que la ID standard. Polo. Les deux mod\u00e8les sont bas\u00e9s sur la derni\u00e8re \u00e9volution de la matrice modulaire d'entra\u00eenement \u00e9lectrique (MEB+). Les principales diff\u00e9rences sont le groupe motopropulseur plus puissant, le r\u00e9glage r\u00e9vis\u00e9 du ch\u00e2ssis et les programmes de conduite sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 la GTI. Volkswagen utilise le moteur \u00e9lectrique APP290 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pour les mod\u00e8les \u00e0 traction avant, qui, selon la convention de d\u00e9nomination de la marque, d\u00e9livre un couple de 290 Nm. Dans la GTI, le groupe motopropulseur produit 166 kW. La voiture de sport compacte atteint une vitesse maximale de 175 km\/h, soit 15 km\/h de plus que la ID. Polo, et atteint 100 km\/h en 6,8 secondes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le ch\u00e2ssis nouvellement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 est \u00e9galement adapt\u00e9 aux performances plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es et aux aspirations de la GTI. Le ch\u00e2ssis de la GTI se compose d'un essieu avant MacPherson et d'un essieu arri\u00e8re \u00e0 bras articul\u00e9s. Les deux essieux de l'ID. Polo GTI sont reli\u00e9s au syst\u00e8me DCC \u00e0 commande \u00e9lectronique, qui comprend un contr\u00f4le adaptatif des amortisseurs. Comme son nom l'indique, le groupe Volkswagen et sa filiale PowerCo ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 ce syst\u00e8me \u00e0 partir de z\u00e9ro. Il utilise la technologie Cell-to-Pack, qui int\u00e8gre les cellules directement dans le bloc-batterie, sans bo\u00eetier interm\u00e9diaire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volkswagen propose la ID. Polo GTI exclusivement avec la batterie de 52 kWh utilisant la chimie des cellules NMC. Selon la norme WLTP, la GTI offre une autonomie de 424 kilom\u00e8tres. En utilisant le chargeur embarqu\u00e9 triphas\u00e9 de 11 kW, une charge compl\u00e8te en courant alternatif prend un peu plus de 5,5 heures. Sur les chargeurs rapides \u00e0 courant continu, la batterie peut se recharger de 10 \u00e0 80% en 24 minutes environ, \u00e0 une puissance maximale de 105 kW.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Profil de conduite de la GTI<\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une pression sur le bouton GTI du volant sport multifonction active le profil de conduite GTI d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 exclusivement pour ce mod\u00e8le. Dans la ID. Polo GTI, il rejoint les modes Eco, Comfort, Sport et Individual. Volkswagen explique que le mode GTI est con\u00e7u pour mettre en valeur les facettes particuli\u00e8rement dynamiques de la Volkswagen \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D'une simple pression sur un bouton, le syst\u00e8me fait basculer tous les r\u00e9glages du groupe motopropulseur et du ch\u00e2ssis vers une sportivit\u00e9 maximale. Cela concerne la puissance d\u00e9livr\u00e9e par le moteur \u00e9lectrique, la direction progressive et le ch\u00e2ssis sport adaptatif DCC avec ses r\u00e9glages sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 la GTI.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Launch Control est \u00e9galement activ\u00e9, tandis que les pr\u00e9tensionneurs de ceintures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 s'enclenchent. Un spectacle de lumi\u00e8res est accompagn\u00e9 par... le son d'un moteur \u00e0 combustion interne. Est-ce vraiment n\u00e9cessaire dans une voiture \u00e9lectrique ? Au m\u00eame moment, la vue GTI appara\u00eet dans le cockpit num\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n<p>Quant \u00e0 savoir si la ID. Polo GTI sera \u00e0 la hauteur de son nom en termes de dynamique de conduite, ce qui devra \u00eatre jug\u00e9 apr\u00e8s l'essai routier. En attendant, l'impression statique reste positive : la voiture est invitante \u00e0 conduire. Sur le papier, Volkswagen offre plus qu'une simple garniture rouge et un acronyme familier : plus de puissance, un ch\u00e2ssis adaptatif, un blocage du diff\u00e9rentiel de l'essieu avant et un profil de conduite d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la GTI.<\/p>\n<p>Les pr\u00e9commandes devraient d\u00e9buter \u00e0 l'automne. Apparemment, la voiture sera propos\u00e9e \u00e0 partir d'un peu moins de 39 000 euros en Allemagne. En Belgique, la voiture sera normalement pr\u00eate \u00e0 \u00eatre command\u00e9e en octobre et sera l'une des vedettes du stand Volkswagen au prochain salon de l'automobile de Bruxelles.
