Enovates, le fabricant belge de bornes de recharge pour v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques implant\u00e9 \u00e0 Lokeren, en Flandre orientale, a d\u00fb mettre la cl\u00e9 sous la porte apr\u00e8s plusieurs ann\u00e9es de pertes financi\u00e8res. Au terme de plusieurs semaines d'intenses n\u00e9gociations, l'ancien fondateur Bart Vereecke a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 relancer l'entreprise avec quatre de ses principaux cadres, qui co-investiront, et avec le soutien de l'investisseur n\u00e9erlandais Kees Koolen.<\/p>\n

Enovates a install\u00e9 plusieurs centaines de milliers de bornes de recharge \u00e0 travers l'Europe, et de nombreux exploitants de bornes s'inqui\u00e9taient de la maintenance future. Les bornes de recharge d'Enovates sont r\u00e9put\u00e9es pour leur grande qualit\u00e9, mais si la production venait \u00e0 s'arr\u00eater et que l'entreprise faisait faillite, qui fournirait les pi\u00e8ces de rechange et assurerait les services de maintenance \u00e0 l'avenir ?<\/p>\n

\u00c0 partir de 2012<\/h4>\n

Enovates a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e en 2012 par Bart Vereecke en tant que pionnier des installations de recharge. Jusqu'en 2023, Enovates \u00e9tait une entreprise en pleine croissance, mais lorsque Shell Recharge s'est soudainement arr\u00eat\u00e9e, la compagnie p\u00e9troli\u00e8re s'\u00e9tant retir\u00e9e de ce march\u00e9, des probl\u00e8mes sont rapidement apparus. Shell Recharge repr\u00e9sentait la moiti\u00e9 du chiffre d'affaires d'Enovates.<\/p>\n

Le constructeur avait initialement \u00e9t\u00e9 sauv\u00e9 de la faillite par le groupe n\u00e9erlandais Connect, mais ce dernier a finalement d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de mettre fin \u00e0 son soutien en raison des pertes croissantes enregistr\u00e9es ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Comme indiqu\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, Enovates compte plus de 300 000 bornes de recharge priv\u00e9es \u00e0 travers l'Europe, et plusieurs grands op\u00e9rateurs, tels que TotalEnergies, Interparking et EnergyVision, ont install\u00e9 un grand nombre de ses produits.<\/p>\n

\u201c Nous comptons environ 1 000 bornes de recharge Enovates en service sur la voie publique ou chez des particuliers \u201d, d\u00e9clare Maarten Michielssens, PDG d\u2019EnergyVision, dans *De Tijd*. Au Royaume-Uni, Enovates avait conclu un accord avec Nissan pour \u00e9tudier les possibilit\u00e9s offertes par la technologie V2G (vehicle-to-grid). \u201c Cette technologie \u00e9tait vraiment excellente \u201d, a comment\u00e9 M. Michielssens.<\/p>\n

Le fondateur, Bart Vereecke, \u00e9tait une nouvelle fois \u00e0 la recherche d'investisseurs potentiels pour aider \u00e0 relancer les activit\u00e9s, afin de pouvoir au moins maintenir l'infrastructure existante et assurer le suivi des contrats en cours. Un grand nombre de clients d'Enovate seraient tr\u00e8s soulag\u00e9s si cela pouvait se concr\u00e9tiser.<\/p>\n

Reprise en 2026<\/h4>\n

Le relancement est d\u00e9sormais une r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Enovates Group NV est une nouvelle soci\u00e9t\u00e9 ind\u00e9pendante cr\u00e9\u00e9e par Bart Vereecke, ancien fondateur d\u2019Enovates, et quatre cadres dirigeants cl\u00e9s de l\u2019ancienne entreprise, qui y investiront conjointement. La technologie et la client\u00e8le sont reprises dans un souci de continuit\u00e9, de qualit\u00e9 et de poursuite du d\u00e9veloppement des produits.<\/p>\n

La priorit\u00e9 absolue de la nouvelle entit\u00e9 est de r\u00e9tablir la confiance de ses clients actuels en leur assurant un support logiciel et un service de pi\u00e8ces d\u00e9tach\u00e9es continus. Bart Vereecke dirige cette relance en tant que nouveau PDG, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de quatre cadres cl\u00e9s. Tous s\u2019investissent personnellement dans la nouvelle soci\u00e9t\u00e9, et environ la moiti\u00e9 du personnel les suit, garantissant ainsi que la technologie, la qualit\u00e9 et le service restent \u00e0 la pointe.<\/p>\n

La nouvelle soci\u00e9t\u00e9 se concentrera sur des solutions de recharge fiables, des logiciels ouverts de recharge intelligente, la technologie V2G bidirectionnelle et un service d\u2019excellence. Enovates Group ciblera une client\u00e8le B2B, notamment les r\u00e9seaux de recharge, les exploitants de parkings, les grandes entreprises et les fournisseurs d\u2019infrastructures publiques.<\/p>\n

Bart Vereecke : \u201c Enovates a toujours dispos\u00e9 d'une technologie de pointe, d'une client\u00e8le fid\u00e8le et d'une excellente connaissance des produits. Ce sont l\u00e0 des atouts que nous ne pouvions pas nous permettre de perdre. Nous renouons avec l'esprit pionnier de 2012 ; il ne s'agit pas d'un simple relancement, mais d'une seconde chance de remettre la technologie belge de recharge au premier plan. \u201d<\/p>\n

Kees Koolen, investisseur de premier plan, ajoute : \u201c Je suis convaincu que tous les transports seront \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019avenir. Des pays comme la Norv\u00e8ge et les Pays-Bas nous montrent que la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique s\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e8re rapidement une fois qu\u2019elle a pris de l\u2019ampleur. La conduite \u00e9lectrique est moins ch\u00e8re, plus propre, plus silencieuse et plus confortable. Enovates dispose de l\u2019\u00e9quipe et de la technologie n\u00e9cessaires pour jouer un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans cette transition. Kees Koolen est surtout connu pour ses liens avec Booking.com et Uber, mais il a \u00e9t\u00e9 l'un des premiers investisseurs dans plus de 20 \u00ab licornes \u00bb \u00e0 travers l'Europe et l'Am\u00e9rique du Sud. Ces derniers temps, ses investissements les plus importants concernent la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, notamment la recharge et les infrastructures de recharge, ainsi que les syst\u00e8mes \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques intelligents.<\/p>\n
