{"id":187386,"date":"2026-06-08T12:15:26","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T10:15:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=187386"},"modified":"2026-06-08T11:53:29","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T09:53:29","slug":"flemish-tram-network-creaks-under-years-of-deferred-maintenance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/fr\/2026\/06\/08\/flemish-tram-network-creaks-under-years-of-deferred-maintenance\/","title":{"rendered":"Le r\u00e9seau flamand de tramways grince sous l'effet d'ann\u00e9es d'entretien diff\u00e9r\u00e9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Plus de <span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">La moiti\u00e9 (53%) des voies de tramway en Flandre sont dans un \u00e9tat \u201cmauvais \u00e0 tr\u00e8s mauvais\u201d : 230 km de voies de tramway sont en mauvais ou tr\u00e8s mauvais \u00e9tat (127 km en mauvais \u00e9tat et 103 km en tr\u00e8s mauvais \u00e9tat). <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">C'est ce qui ressort des chiffres publi\u00e9s vendredi par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transport public De Lijn. La longueur totale des voies de tramway en Flandre est d'environ 434 km.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>De Lijn indique qu'elle renouvelle \u201cun peu plus de 20 km\u201d par an, soit environ 4,7% du r\u00e9seau. \u00c0 ce rythme, il faudrait environ 11 \u00e0 12 ans pour \u00e9liminer le mat\u00e9riel en mauvais\/tr\u00e8s mauvais \u00e9tat existant, en supposant qu'aucune autre voie ne se d\u00e9t\u00e9riore entre-temps.<\/p>\n<h4>Beaucoup trop peu d'entretien<\/h4>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Les rails des tramways durent en moyenne une vingtaine d'ann\u00e9es, mais en Flandre, les tramways circulent sur des rails qui ont jusqu'\u00e0 40 ans. Dans certains endroits, le risque est d\u00e9j\u00e0 trop \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour poursuivre l'exploitation, explique Ann Schoubs, directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de transport public De Lijn. \u201c<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les investissements dans le r\u00e9seau de tramway ont \u00e9t\u00e9 bien trop faibles\u201d.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">La r\u00e9paration des voies de tramway est co\u00fbteuse : la r\u00e9novation de 5 % du r\u00e9seau co\u00fbterait 75 millions d'euros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dramatique<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">\u00c0 Anvers, la situation est dramatique et des travaux de r\u00e9paration sont en cours presque partout en m\u00eame temps, par n\u00e9cessit\u00e9. Une r\u00e9ponse officielle du Parlement flamand indique que les lignes de tram 2 et 4 ne circuleront plus jusqu'\u00e0 Hoboken Lelieplaats depuis juillet 2023, une navette rempla\u00e7ant le tron\u00e7on Zwaantjes-Lelieplaats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Le moment choisi pour ces travaux de r\u00e9paration ne pouvait pas \u00eatre plus mal choisi. Lorsque tous les automobilistes sont bloqu\u00e9s dans les travaux de l'Oosterweel, les transports publics devraient \u00eatre l'alternative. <\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Mais cela ne semble pas fonctionner enti\u00e8rement. Cependant, les alternatives au tunnel du m\u00e9tro semblent offrir un certain soulagement pour le moment.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Autres villes<\/h4>\n<p>D'autres villes flamandes connaissent \u00e9galement des probl\u00e8mes de voies de tramway. \u00c0 Gand, par exemple, des voies vieilles de 40 ans avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 caus\u00e9 des vibrations, un rel\u00e2chement et des probl\u00e8mes de rev\u00eatement des rues, et une courbe \u00e9tait tellement us\u00e9e que les tramways avaient cess\u00e9 d'y circuler des ann\u00e9es auparavant.<\/p>\n<p>Bruxelles semble avoir un meilleur rythme de renouvellement, bien qu'il n'y ait pas de chiffres publics parfaitement comparables concernant les \u2018mauvaises\/tr\u00e8s mauvaises voies\u2019. Selon la STIB\/MIVB, Bruxelles poss\u00e8de environ 150 km de r\u00e9seau de tramways et renouvelle entre 6,7 et 10% du r\u00e9seau par an.<\/p>\n<p>Bruxelles dispose \u00e9galement d'un important programme d'investissement soutenu par la Banque europ\u00e9enne d'investissement : un pr\u00eat de 475 millions d'euros pour de nouveaux bus, tramways et m\u00e9tros \u00e9lectriques, ainsi que pour le renouvellement de 63 km de voies de tramway et de m\u00e9tro. Cela ne prouve pas que Bruxelles n'a pas de retard, mais cela t\u00e9moigne d'un programme de r\u00e9investissement important et structur\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h4>Pays voisins<\/h4>\n<p>Dans les pays europ\u00e9ens voisins, la situation semble mieux ma\u00eetris\u00e9e. Les infrastructures de tramway et de m\u00e9tro d'Amsterdam, par exemple, sont g\u00e9r\u00e9es par une maintenance conditionnelle sur environ 224 km de voies de tramway et 110 km de voies de m\u00e9tro.<\/p>\n<p>En Allemagne, le r\u00e9seau de tramways BVG de Berlin est beaucoup plus \u00e9tendu - environ 320 km - et BVG a r\u00e9cemment d\u00e9fini sa strat\u00e9gie de transport public comme \u00e9tant \u2018la stabilit\u00e9 plut\u00f4t que la croissance\u2019 apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es d'expansion et de pression sur le syst\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p>Au Luxembourg, le syst\u00e8me de tramway moderne est jeune : la ligne achev\u00e9e vers l'a\u00e9roport l'a port\u00e9 \u00e0 environ 16,4 km et 24 arr\u00eats.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than half (53%) of the tram tracks in Flanders are in &#8220;poor to very poor&#8221; condition: 230 km of tram track are in bad or very bad condition (127 km in bad condition and 103 km in very bad condition).
