{"id":187425,"date":"2026-06-09T08:00:43","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T06:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=187425"},"modified":"2026-06-08T15:52:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T13:52:44","slug":"peugeot-plugs-the-gti-legend-back-in-with-the-new-e-208-gti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/fr\/2026\/06\/09\/peugeot-plugs-the-gti-legend-back-in-with-the-new-e-208-gti\/","title":{"rendered":"Peugeot renoue avec la l\u00e9gende de la GTi avec la nouvelle E-208 GTi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Peugeot ram\u00e8ne la marque GTi sur la route avec la version de s\u00e9rie de la E-208 GTi, le premier mod\u00e8le enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique \u00e0 porter l'un des noms de performance les plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bres de la marque fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n<p>Dans un bref communiqu\u00e9 de presse, Peugeot confirme le retour de la voiture aux 24 Heures du Mans, un an apr\u00e8s que le concept E-208 GTi y ait \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9, avec la version de production d\u00e9finitive expos\u00e9e dans le Village des 24 Heures du Mans.<\/p>\n<p>Le choix du moment est d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9. Peugeot affirme que la voiture de s\u00e9rie reste \u201cincroyablement proche\u201d du concept 2025 et sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e en bleu, blanc et rouge, un clin d'\u0153il \u00e0 l'identit\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise de la marque, tout en marquant les 100 ans de la premi\u00e8re course de Peugeot au Mans.<\/p>\n<h4>D\u00e9velopp\u00e9 avec Peugeot Sport<\/h4>\n<p>Tous les d\u00e9tails et les chiffres cl\u00e9s seront annonc\u00e9s par Alain Favey, PDG de Peugeot, lors de la conf\u00e9rence de presse de la marque au Mans, le 12 juin.<\/p>\n<p>Avant m\u00eame que ces chiffres d\u00e9finitifs ne soient communiqu\u00e9s, l'orientation est claire. Peugeot ne pr\u00e9sente pas la E-208 GTi comme un pack de style pour la E-208 ordinaire, mais comme un hot-hatch \u00e9lectrique moderne d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 avec Peugeot Sport.<\/p>\n<p>Les pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents documents relatifs \u00e0 la E-208 GTi faisaient \u00e9tat d'un moteur \u00e9lectrique de 280 ch, d'un couple de 345 Nm, d'un 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h en 5,7 secondes, d'une vitesse maximale de 180 km\/h, d'une batterie de 54 kWh et d'une autonomie d'environ 350 km selon la norme WLTP.<\/p>\n<p>La liste des \u00e9quipements va \u00e9galement bien au-del\u00e0 de la citadine standard, avec un diff\u00e9rentiel \u00e0 glissement limit\u00e9, des voies plus larges, une carrosserie abaiss\u00e9e de 30 mm, des jantes de 18 pouces, des pneus Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 et des freins avant plus grands de 355 mm avec \u00e9triers \u00e0 quatre pistons.<\/p>\n<p>L'\u00e9cart avec la E-208 ordinaire est donc important. La E-208 actuelle, ax\u00e9e sur l'efficacit\u00e9, est disponible avec une puissance maximale de 156 ch, une batterie de 54 kWh et une autonomie WLTP de 433 km.<\/p>\n<p>En d'autres termes, la version GTi \u00e9change une certaine distance entre les charges contre une augmentation importante des performances et des capacit\u00e9s du ch\u00e2ssis. Elle sera probablement la voiture des conducteurs qui veulent la taille compacte et la facilit\u00e9 d'utilisation au quotidien d'une E-208, mais pas le caract\u00e8re calme et ax\u00e9 sur l'autonomie qui d\u00e9finit la version grand public.<\/p>\n<h4>Lien vers la 205 GTi<\/h4>\n<p>La nouvelle voiture doit \u00e9galement porter un badge beaucoup plus lourd que sa batterie. Peugeot associe explicitement la E-208 GTi \u00e0 la 205 GTi, la voiture \u00e0 hayon des ann\u00e9es 1980 qui a fait du nom GTi un \u00e9l\u00e9ment central de l'identit\u00e9 de la marque.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-187433\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/peugeot-205-GTI.jpg?resize=640%2C426&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/peugeot-205-GTI.jpg?resize=1024%2C682&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/peugeot-205-GTI.jpg?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La 205 GTi est arriv\u00e9e en 1984 avec un moteur \u00e0 essence de 1,6 litre, puis a gagn\u00e9 en puissance, la version 1,9 litre la rejoignant en 1986. Selon la version, elle offrait 105 ch, 115 ch ou 130 ch, mais son v\u00e9ritable avantage \u00e9tait son poids.<\/p>\n<p>L'histoire de Peugeot situe le 1.6 \u00e0 848 kg et le 1.9 \u00e0 910 kg, avec une direction pr\u00e9cise, un empattement court et une simple bo\u00eete de vitesses manuelle \u00e0 cinq rapports qui d\u00e9finissent l'exp\u00e9rience.<\/p>\n<p>La E-208 GTi ne peut pas recr\u00e9er cette l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9. Comme tous les VE modernes, sa masse est bien plus importante que celle d'une supermini des ann\u00e9es 80, et ses performances proviendront d'un couple instantan\u00e9 plut\u00f4t que d'un moteur \u00e0 essence en pleine r\u00e9volution et d'une bo\u00eete de vitesses manuelle.<\/p>\n<p>Mais Peugeot tente clairement de faire \u00e9cho aux aspects \u00e9motionnels de l'histoire de la 205 GTi. Les d\u00e9tails rouges, les jantes perfor\u00e9es inspir\u00e9es des jantes \u201c\u00e0 trous\u201d de la 205 GTi, les tapis rouges et les ceintures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, ainsi que le format compact \u00e0 traction avant, renvoient tous \u00e0 l'original sans transformer la E-208 en un pastiche r\u00e9tro.<\/p>\n<h4>Extr\u00eamement fid\u00e8le au concept<\/h4>\n<p>Par rapport au concept pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au Mans l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, il s'agit moins d'un changement de cap que d'une confirmation. Peugeot affirme que la voiture finale est extr\u00eamement fid\u00e8le au concept, ce qui sugg\u00e8re que le constructeur a jug\u00e9 la r\u00e9action des fans de la GTi et des clients potentiels suffisamment forte pour que la version de production reste proche de la voiture d'exposition.<\/p>\n<p>C'est important, car les VE performants s'appuient souvent sur les seuls chiffres de l'acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration. Peugeot tente au contraire de faire revivre une marque associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la sensation de la direction, \u00e0 l'agilit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l'amusement au quotidien.<\/p>\n<p>La grande question est de savoir si une GTi \u00e9lectrique peut se sentir comme une GTi plut\u00f4t que d'en avoir simplement l'air. Sur le papier, la E-208 GTi poss\u00e8de tous les ingr\u00e9dients : plus de puissance que n'importe quelle petite Peugeot GTi historique, un essieu avant s\u00e9rieux, des pneus plus adh\u00e9rents, des freins am\u00e9lior\u00e9s et l'implication de Peugeot Sport. Face \u00e0 la E-208 ordinaire, la proposition devrait \u00eatre compl\u00e8tement diff\u00e9rente.
