Pour de nombreux Belges, la voiture reste une constante pour les trajets quotidiens, les week-ends et les vacances. Cependant, le co\u00fbt \u00e9lev\u00e9 de la conduite incite les automobilistes \u00e0 choisir, planifier et conduire de mani\u00e8re plus consciente. C'est ce qui ressort d'une nouvelle \u00e9tude command\u00e9e par Auto5 aupr\u00e8s de 809 automobilistes belges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 d'entre eux se disent plus soucieux des co\u00fbts : ils pensent davantage au co\u00fbt total d'un voyage ou de vacances en voiture aujourd'hui que par le pass\u00e9. Le carburant, les frais de recharge, les p\u00e9ages et le stationnement, en particulier, jouent un r\u00f4le dans le choix de la destination et de la distance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modifier le comportement en mati\u00e8re de loisirs<\/h4>\n

L'impact de la chert\u00e9 de l'essence et du diesel se fait particuli\u00e8rement sentir dans le comportement en mati\u00e8re de loisirs. Quatre personnes sur dix restent plus souvent \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de leur domicile afin de ma\u00eetriser les distances et les co\u00fbts. Toutefois, pour de nombreuses familles, la voiture reste plus attrayante que le train ou l'avion. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLes automobilistes belges ne se contentent pas de laisser leur voiture en stationnement, ils en \u00e9valuent les co\u00fbts plus consciemment qu'auparavant\u201d, explique Olivier Renard, porte-parole d'Auto5.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conduite \u00e9conome en \u00e9nergie<\/h4>\n

Les chiffres montrent que les automobilistes utilisent leur voiture diff\u00e9remment. Plus de la moiti\u00e9 d'entre eux (54,3%) d\u00e9clarent faire plus attention \u00e0 leur vitesse pour limiter leur consommation. Presque autant d'automobilistes (56,9%) planifient leurs itin\u00e9raires plus consciemment pour \u00e9viter les embouteillages, les d\u00e9tours et les kilom\u00e8tres inutiles. <\/span><\/p>\n

Une personne sur trois (31,4%) est moins encline \u00e0 allumer la climatisation pour \u00e9conomiser de l'\u00e9nergie. Plus d'un tiers (37,1%) des personnes interrog\u00e9es \u00e9vitent les bagages inutiles, le poids suppl\u00e9mentaire, l'utilisation d'un coffre de toit ou d'un porte-v\u00e9lo pour limiter la consommation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cependant, les automobilistes oublient encore souvent \u00e0 quel point il est important que leur voiture soit en bon \u00e9tat pour une conduite \u00e9conome en \u00e9nergie. Par exemple, moins de la moiti\u00e9 d'entre eux v\u00e9rifient la pression de leurs pneus avant les longs trajets (44,4%). Et moins de la moiti\u00e9 (41%) envisagent un contr\u00f4le rapide de la voiture pour optimiser la consommation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Des donn\u00e9es plus larges renforcent la pertinence de l'enqu\u00eate. Les chiffres belges et europ\u00e9ens sur la mobilit\u00e9 montrent que la voiture reste structurellement dominante pour les voyages. D'autres \u00e9tudes, telles que le barom\u00e8tre des vacances de Touring et les \u00e9tudes sur le sentiment des voyageurs europ\u00e9ens, montrent \u00e9galement que l'inflation et les prix \u00e9lev\u00e9s poussent les voyageurs \u00e0 surveiller de plus pr\u00e8s leur budget.<\/p>\n

Mod\u00e8le europ\u00e9en<\/h4>\n

Cette histoire s'inscrit dans un contexte europ\u00e9en plus large. Les donn\u00e9es sur les ventes de carburant en Europe montrent que la pression sur les co\u00fbts est \u00e9vidente dans le comportement r\u00e9el.<\/p>\n

En avril 2026, Eurostat a enregistr\u00e9 une nette baisse des volumes de vente au d\u00e9tail de carburants automobiles : les ventes de carburants ont diminu\u00e9 de 2,7% d'un mois sur l'autre dans la zone euro et de 2,4% dans l'UE. Par rapport \u00e0 avril 2025, elles ont baiss\u00e9 de 3,5% dans la zone euro et de 2,0% dans l'UE.<\/p>\n

Cela s'est produit alors que les prix des carburants ont fortement augment\u00e9 : Les prix du diesel dans l'UE ont augment\u00e9 de 33,7% en glissement annuel en avril 2026, et les prix de l'essence ont augment\u00e9 de 13,6%.<\/p>\n

La baisse des ventes de carburant ne prouve pas directement que les gens prennent moins de vacances ou d'excursions en voiture. Elle peut \u00e9galement refl\u00e9ter une diminution des trajets domicile-travail, une conduite plus efficace, un ravitaillement retard\u00e9, la constitution de r\u00e9serves le mois pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, l'augmentation du nombre de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques, l'\u00e9lectrification des flottes d'entreprise ou la prudence \u00e9conomique g\u00e9n\u00e9rale.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
