Stellantis s'est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 Bolt et Pony.ai pour commencer \u00e0 proposer des trajets en robotaxi au Luxembourg. Pas seulement dans la ville, mais dans tout le pays. Avec d'autres projets pilotes, de Zagreb \u00e0 Munich en passant par Londres, 2026 s'annonce comme l'ann\u00e9e o\u00f9 les robotaxis feront enfin leur apparition en Europe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Luxembourg est un petit pays, mais il semble avoir un grand app\u00e9tit pour l'exp\u00e9rimentation r\u00e9glementaire. Le Grand-Duch\u00e9 d\u00e9veloppe un cadre national pour la conduite automatis\u00e9e depuis au moins 2025, se positionnant comme ce que les partenaires appellent un \u201c laboratoire vivant \u201d pour la mobilit\u00e9 autonome. En d\u2019autres termes, un lieu o\u00f9 les nouvelles technologies peuvent \u00eatre test\u00e9es en conditions r\u00e9elles de circulation, avec de vrais passagers, sous le regard attentif des autorit\u00e9s de r\u00e9gulation.<\/p>\n

Avec un pilote de s\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/h4>\n

Stellantis ne se laisse pas \u00e9chapper l'opportunit\u00e9 offerte par ce cadre r\u00e9glementaire. Le groupe s'associe \u00e0 Pony.ai, sp\u00e9cialiste chinois de la conduite autonome, et \u00e0 Bolt \u2013 le principal concurrent d'Uber \u2013 pour lancer un programme pilote de robotaxis. L'objectif, clairement \u00e9nonc\u00e9 dans le communiqu\u00e9 de presse, est de parvenir \u00e0 une conduite sans conducteur d'ici la fin de la p\u00e9riode d'essai. Celle-ci durera un an.<\/p>\n

Pour \u00eatre clair, le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre du projet ne se limite pas \u00e0 la capitale du Luxembourg, mais s'\u00e9tend jusqu'aux fronti\u00e8res du pays. Progressivement. Les premiers essais d\u00e9buteront dans la petite ville de Bissen, avant que le p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre ne soit \u00e9largi.<\/p>\n

Cela permet de cr\u00e9er un environnement contr\u00f4l\u00e9 o\u00f9 ce projet de taxi autonome, le premier du genre au Luxembourg, peut \u00eatre test\u00e9 sans la complexit\u00e9 d'une capitale anim\u00e9e. Un conducteur de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 reste \u00e0 bord.<\/p>\n

Pour Pony.ai en particulier, cela marque une nouvelle \u00e9tape de sa strat\u00e9gie, qui consiste \u00e0 tirer parti de l'environnement r\u00e9glementaire europ\u00e9en de plus en plus favorable. L'entreprise chinoise m\u00e8ne d\u00e9j\u00e0 des essais sur route \u00e0 Zagreb, en Croatie, dans le cadre d'un partenariat distinct avec Uber et la start-up croate Verne. Le Luxembourg est la prochaine \u00e9tape de ce parcours.<\/p>\n

Il s'agit du monospace de taille moyenne Peugeot Expert. Il est construit sur la plateforme L4-Ready de Stellantis, une architecture modulaire d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par le constructeur automobile pour servir de base \u00e0 des solutions d'autonomie de niveau 4.<\/p>\n

Seuil de rentabilit\u00e9<\/h4>\n

Le syst\u00e8me de conduite autonome repose sur la technologie de septi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration (Gen-7) de Pony.ai, la m\u00eame g\u00e9n\u00e9ration que celle d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e actuellement en Chine. Le programme permettra de valider la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, les performances et la conformit\u00e9 r\u00e9glementaire dans les conditions r\u00e9elles de circulation au Luxembourg.<\/p>\n

Ainsi, Pony.ai fournit le \u00ab cerveau \u00bb de la conduite autonome, Bolt g\u00e8re la plateforme de r\u00e9servation de courses et l'exploitation de la flotte, tandis que Stellantis apporte le mat\u00e9riel et son expertise en mati\u00e8re de fabrication.<\/p>\n

Il est important de noter que, dans son pays d'origine, les robotaxis de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration 7 de Pony.ai ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 atteint le seuil de rentabilit\u00e9. C'est la seule entreprise sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la conduite autonome \u00e0 avoir publiquement affirm\u00e9 que son activit\u00e9 \u00e9tait commercialement viable et couvrait ses propres co\u00fbts par trajet. \u00c0 l'\u00e9chelle mondiale, l'entreprise chinoise vise une flotte de plus de 3 000 robotaxis en 2026, contre environ 1 000 \u00e0 la fin de l'ann\u00e9e 2025.<\/p>\n

Pour Bolt et Stellantis, il s'agit de leur premier projet de robotaxis. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, le g\u00e9ant de l'automobile a conclu un accord avec Nvidia et Uber.
