Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette acquisition, H.Essers renforce son offre de services transatlantiques et \u00e9tend encore davantage sa pr\u00e9sence op\u00e9rationnelle dans le secteur chimique.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cette op\u00e9ration marque l'entr\u00e9e op\u00e9rationnelle de H.Essers aux \u00c9tats-Unis, avec pour ambition d\u00e9clar\u00e9e de faire passer son chiffre d'affaires am\u00e9ricain d'environ $70 millions aujourd'hui \u00e0 $300 millions d'ici cinq ans. <\/span><\/p>\n

Fond\u00e9e en 1965<\/h4>\n

Palmer,<\/span> fond\u00e9e en 1965, est \u00e9galement une entreprise familiale. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 <\/span>dispose de 14 sites, repr\u00e9sentant une surface d'entreposage de 300 000 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s, principalement au Texas et en Louisiane, le long du golfe du Mexique. Cette r\u00e9gion constitue le principal p\u00f4le de production chimique aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bon nombre des clients de H.Essers issus de l'industrie chimique europ\u00e9enne sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sents aux \u00c9tats-Unis, et ce pays devient un p\u00f4le de plus en plus important pour le secteur chimique. <\/span><\/p>\n

L'industrie chimique europ\u00e9enne a d\u00fb faire face \u00e0 une faible demande, \u00e0 des co\u00fbts \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques \u00e9lev\u00e9s et \u00e0 des pressions sur sa comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9, tandis que les \u00c9tats-Unis ont conserv\u00e9 leurs avantages en mati\u00e8re de co\u00fbts \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et de mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res. <\/span><\/p>\n

Les 350 employ\u00e9s de Palmer seront tous repris, et l'\u00e9quipe de direction restera \u00e9galement en place. L'int\u00e9gration se fera par \u00e9tapes, et la marque sera \u00e0 terme int\u00e9gr\u00e9e \u00e0 H.Essers.<\/span><\/p>\n

H.Essers n'est ni la premi\u00e8re entreprise belge de logistique \u00e0 s'implanter aux \u00c9tats-Unis, ni le premier acteur belge \u00e0 op\u00e9rer dans le secteur am\u00e9ricain de la logistique chimique. Mais pour un groupe familial de transport et d'entreposage de cette envergure, ax\u00e9 sur l'Europe, il s'agit d'une expansion transatlantique particuli\u00e8rement importante.<\/p>\n

Entreprises familiales<\/h4>\n

Les deux entreprises partagent des valeurs communes, telles que l'esprit d'entreprise, la fiabilit\u00e9, le respect et une vision \u00e0 long terme. H.Essers est sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans le transport routier, fluvial et ferroviaire, ainsi que dans la transformation et le stockage de produits chimiques et pharmaceutiques, des secteurs qui exigent des normes \u00e9lev\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, de fiabilit\u00e9 et de qualit\u00e9 de service. <\/span><\/p>\n
