Si les nouveaux mod\u00e8les \u00e9lectriques de la marque partagent leur base technique avec Toyota, ils se veulent bien plus que de simples \u2018 cousins \u2019 rebaptis\u00e9s : il s\u2019agit d\u2019une \u00ab voiture familiale capable d\u2019aller partout \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Sur le court parcours tout-terrain am\u00e9nag\u00e9 pour l'essai presse, la Solterra, l'Uncharted et l'E-Outback ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 pourquoi. Les mont\u00e9es raides, les sentiers tout-terrain \u00e0 travers les bois et les descentes abruptes ne constituent gu\u00e8re l'environnement naturel de la plupart des crossovers \u00e9lectriques, mais ces trois Subaru se sont montr\u00e9es sereines et convaincantes.<\/p>\n<h4>Param\u00e8tres de terrain du mode X<\/h4>\n<p>Leur transmission int\u00e9grale contr\u00f4l\u00e9e par logiciel, leur garde au sol g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse et leurs modes tout-terrain \u00ab X-Mode \u00bb leur conf\u00e8rent une capacit\u00e9 d'intervention qui fait d\u00e9faut \u00e0 de nombreux v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques, par ailleurs tout \u00e0 fait performants.<\/p>\n<p>C'est important, car l'offensive \u00e9lectrique de Subaru est \u00e9troitement li\u00e9e \u00e0 celle de Toyota. La Solterra est apparent\u00e9e \u00e0 la Toyota bZ4X, l'Uncharted \u00e0 la Toyota C-HR+ et l'E-Outback \u00e0 la bZ4X Touring.<\/p>\n<p>Toyota fournit une grande partie des composants co\u00fbteux des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques, notamment la plateforme, la batterie, les essieux \u00e9lectriques et l'architecture de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Le r\u00f4le de Subaru porte principalement sur le comportement routier des v\u00e9hicules, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son propre logiciel de transmission int\u00e9grale, aux r\u00e9glages \u00ab X-Mode \u00bb adapt\u00e9s aux diff\u00e9rents types de terrain, au r\u00e9glage de la suspension et de la direction, \u00e0 une carrosserie plus robuste, ainsi qu'\u00e0 des \u00e9quipements pratiques et adapt\u00e9s aux activit\u00e9s de plein air.<\/p>\n<h4>Des crossovers moins g\u00e9n\u00e9riques<\/h4>\n<p>Le r\u00e9sultat ne rompt toutefois pas totalement avec la ressemblance familiale. Il s'agit clairement de v\u00e9hicules d\u00e9riv\u00e9s de Toyota, mais Subaru s'est efforc\u00e9 de leur donner moins l'allure de crossovers \u00e9lectriques g\u00e9n\u00e9riques et quelque peu ennuyeux, pour en faire plut\u00f4t des voitures familiales performantes, adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 toutes les conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques et capables d'aller partout.<\/p>\n<p>Toyota cible le vaste march\u00e9 des SUV \u00e9lectriques, en proposant un large choix en mati\u00e8re de capacit\u00e9 de batterie, de type de motorisation, d\u2019autonomie et de prix. Subaru s\u2019adresse quant \u00e0 elle \u00e0 un groupe d\u2019acheteurs plus restreint, mais bien identifiable. Pensez aux familles qui n\u2019ont pas besoin d\u2019un v\u00e9ritable 4x4, mais qui souhaitent un v\u00e9hicule \u00e0 l\u2019aise sur la neige, les chemins d\u2019acc\u00e8s boueux, les campings, les rampes de mise \u00e0 l\u2019eau et les pistes rurales en mauvais \u00e9tat.<\/p>\n<p>C'est entre la Toyota C-HR+ et la Subaru Uncharted que la diff\u00e9rence est la plus marqu\u00e9e. Cependant, avec la Solterra et surtout l\u2019E-Outback, la garde au sol n\u2019est pas \u00e0 elle seule le facteur d\u00e9terminant. Les mod\u00e8les apparent\u00e9s Toyota bZ4X et bZ4X Touring partagent d\u00e9j\u00e0 en grande partie les m\u00eames composants de transmission int\u00e9grale et les m\u00eames technologies tout-terrain.<\/p>\n<p>La valeur ajout\u00e9e de Subaru est donc plus subtile. Ses ing\u00e9nieurs ont r\u00e9ajust\u00e9 la suspension et la direction assist\u00e9e, ont conserv\u00e9 une liaison m\u00e9canique classique au niveau de la direction plut\u00f4t qu\u2019un syst\u00e8me \u00ab steer-by-wire \u00bb, et ont mis au point leur propre r\u00e9glage pour la traction, la stabilit\u00e9 en virage et la conduite tout-terrain.<\/p>\n<p>Les mod\u00e8les les plus grands sont propos\u00e9s de s\u00e9rie avec une transmission int\u00e9grale, et Subaru fait de cette caract\u00e9ristique un \u00e9l\u00e9ment central de son identit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Il y a \u00e9galement une surprise ironique en mati\u00e8re de performances. Subaru Benelux souligne que l'Uncharted AWD, d'une puissance de 343 hp, atteint les 100 km\/h en cinq secondes, devan\u00e7ant ainsi l'embl\u00e9matique WRX STI, issue du rallye, dans ce sprint de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n<p>L'E-Outback va encore plus loin, avec 381 hp et un temps annonc\u00e9 de 4,5 secondes pour passer de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h. Les versions \u00e0 transmission int\u00e9grale sont \u00e9quip\u00e9es du syst\u00e8me X-Mode de Subaru, le Grip Control faisant office de r\u00e9gulateur de vitesse tout-terrain \u00e0 basse vitesse, permettant au v\u00e9hicule de gravir ou de descendre une pente raide \u00e0 une vitesse d'escargot.<\/p>\n<p>Ils permettent de ma\u00eetriser l'adh\u00e9rence sur les terrains meubles, la neige, la boue et les descentes raides sans que le conducteur ait besoin d'\u00eatre un sp\u00e9cialiste du tout-terrain. Pour autant, il ne s'agit pas de 4x4 \u00e0 gamme basse au sens traditionnel du terme.<\/p>\n<p>Leurs moteurs \u00e9lectriques et leurs transmissions \u00e0 rapport fixe offrent un couple imm\u00e9diat et un contr\u00f4le pr\u00e9cis \u00e0 basse vitesse, tandis que les syst\u00e8mes X-Mode, Grip Control et le contr\u00f4le de descente remplacent \u00e9lectroniquement une partie de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 que procurait autrefois la bo\u00eete de transfert.<\/p>\n<p>Ce syst\u00e8me ne remplace pas une bo\u00eete de transfert \u00e0 gamme basse, et il ne s'agit pas non plus d'une invention exclusive \u00e0 Subaru, mais il rend les pistes d'acc\u00e8s escarp\u00e9es et glissantes nettement moins intimidantes pour un conducteur inexp\u00e9riment\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Con\u00e7us avant tout pour un usage familial, ils font preuve d'une grande fiabilit\u00e9 sur les routes d'acc\u00e8s glissantes, les terrains de camping, les rampes de mise \u00e0 l'eau et les pistes hivernales, mais ne sont pas destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la pratique intensive du \u00ab rock-crawling \u00bb ni au tout-terrain de type exp\u00e9dition.<\/p>\n<h4>Capacit\u00e9 de remorquage de 1 500 kg<\/h4>\n<p>Leur capacit\u00e9 de remorquage de 1 500 kg en version 4x4 conf\u00e8re \u00e9galement aux mod\u00e8les Solterra, E-Outback et au haut de gamme Uncharted un attrait plus concret pour les propri\u00e9taires de caravanes, notamment aux Pays-Bas, o\u00f9 une voiture \u00e9lectrique familiale doit encore pouvoir tracter une caravane de vacances sans se transformer en simple deuxi\u00e8me voiture.<\/p>\n<p>Le mod\u00e8le d'entr\u00e9e de gamme est la nouvelle Subaru Uncharted, un SUV du segment C propos\u00e9 en Belgique \u00e0 partir de 36 995 \u20ac. La version de base 2E-xcite est \u00e9quip\u00e9e d'une batterie de 58 kWh, d'un moteur avant de 123 kW et offre une autonomie WLTP pouvant atteindre 451 km.<\/p>\n<p>La 2E-xcite+ de 77 kWh porte la puissance \u00e0 165 kW et offre une autonomie pouvant atteindre 592 km. Au sommet de la gamme se trouve le mod\u00e8le 4E-xperience+, propos\u00e9 \u00e0 47 995 \u20ac, \u00e9quip\u00e9 de deux moteurs, d'une puissance de 252 kW, d'une transmission int\u00e9grale, d'une capacit\u00e9 de remorquage de 1 500 kg et d'une autonomie WLTP pouvant atteindre 490 km.<\/p>\n<h4>Traction avant<\/h4>\n<p>L'Uncharted est le mod\u00e8le Subaru le moins traditionnel de la gamme, car il peut \u00eatre command\u00e9 en version \u00e0 traction avant. Il n'en reste pas moins fid\u00e8le aux priorit\u00e9s de Subaru en mati\u00e8re de visibilit\u00e9, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de fonctionnalit\u00e9. La version 2026 est \u00e9quip\u00e9e d\u2019une batterie de 73,1 kWh, d\u2019un syst\u00e8me de propulsion \u00e0 deux moteurs d\u00e9veloppant 252 kW, affiche un temps de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h de 5,1 secondes selon le constructeur et offre une autonomie WLTP pouvant atteindre 509 km.<\/p>\n<p>Il peut remorquer 1 500 kg, soit le double de la capacit\u00e9 de son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur, et son prix de d\u00e9part est de 47 995 \u20ac en Belgique. Il s'agit d'un grand SUV familial de type break, \u00e9quip\u00e9 d'une batterie de 74,7 kWh, d'une transmission int\u00e9grale \u00e0 deux moteurs de 280 kW, d'une garde au sol de 211 mm et d'une capacit\u00e9 de remorquage de 1 500 kg.<\/p>\n<p>Subaru annonce une autonomie WLTP pouvant atteindre 523 km pour la version \u00e9quip\u00e9e de jantes de 18 pouces, tandis que la puissance de recharge en courant continu peut atteindre 150 kW et que le chargeur embarqu\u00e9 de 22 kW permet de recharger la batterie en moins de quatre heures.<\/p>\n<p>L'E-Outback incarne \u00e9galement de la mani\u00e8re la plus convaincante l'identit\u00e9 traditionnelle de Subaru \u00e0 l'\u00e8re des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques. Il est \u00e9quip\u00e9 de barres de toit, de rev\u00eatements de protection, d'un coffre de 633 litres, de deux modes X-Mode et du syst\u00e8me Grip Control pour la conduite tout-terrain \u00e0 faible vitesse.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 51 995 \u20ac pour la version 4E-xperience et 54 995 \u20ac pour la version 4E-xperience+ mieux \u00e9quip\u00e9e, ce n'est pas donn\u00e9. Mais il offre quelque chose que la plupart des SUV \u00e9lectriques de prix similaire peinent encore \u00e0 proposer : la possibilit\u00e9 de se pr\u00e9senter comme une v\u00e9ritable voiture familiale capable de s'aventurer bien au-del\u00e0 des limites de la route goudronn\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h4>Plus de puissance, un coffre plus spacieux<\/h4>\n<p>L'\u00e9cart entre les prix est exceptionnellement faible. La version haut de gamme Uncharted AWD, \u00e0 47 995 \u20ac, co\u00fbte exactement le m\u00eame prix que le mod\u00e8le d'entr\u00e9e de gamme Solterra, tandis que la Solterra 4E-xperience+, \u00e0 51 995 \u20ac, est au m\u00eame prix que la version de base de l'E-Outback.<\/p>\n<p>Les acheteurs ne sont donc pas amen\u00e9s \u00e0 payer un suppl\u00e9ment important simplement pour passer au mod\u00e8le sup\u00e9rieur. \u00c0 51 995 \u20ac, l'E-Outback sacrifie certains \u00e9quipements de luxe au profit d'un espace plus g\u00e9n\u00e9reux, d'une puissance accrue, d'un coffre plus spacieux et d'une carrosserie plus pratique, ce qui en fait le choix le plus \u00e9vident de la gamme pour les familles et les amateurs de caravaning.<\/p>\n<p>Subaru reste un acteur de niche en Europe, avec des ventes annuelles d'environ 35 000 voitures. La Belgique est un petit march\u00e9 pour la marque, desservi par un r\u00e9seau de 15 concessionnaires, mais elle rev\u00eat une importance strat\u00e9gique puisque le si\u00e8ge europ\u00e9en de Subaru est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Zaventem.<\/p>\n<p>Ce nouveau trio de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques vise \u00e0 \u00e9largir l'attrait de Subaru au-del\u00e0 de sa client\u00e8le fid\u00e8le, compos\u00e9e d'amateurs de moteurs boxer et de transmission int\u00e9grale.
