Sur la Chauss\u00e9e de Malines\/Mechelsesteenweg, entre le carrefour des Quatre-Bras\/Vierarmen et l'avenue des Foug\u00e8res\/Varenslaan \u00e0 Wezembeek-Oppem, les travaux de construction d'une nouvelle piste cyclable ont commenc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La piste cyclable reliera le carrefour Quatre-Bras\/Vierarmen sur le p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique \u00e0 l'E40. Le trac\u00e9 suit en grande partie le p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique de Bruxelles entre Tervuren et Zaventem.<\/p>\n

Le gouvernement flamand entend ainsi relier les autoroutes cyclables Bruxelles-Louvain (F203), Bruxelles-Wezembeek-Oppem (FWOB) et Bruxelles-Tervuren.<\/p>\n

En deux phases<\/h4>\n

En raison de travaux, la Chauss\u00e9e de Malines\/Mechelsesteenweg sera ferm\u00e9e \u00e0 la circulation en direction du Ring jusqu'\u00e0 la mi-octobre. Toutefois, selon la commune de Wezembeek-Oppem, le carrefour Quatre-Bras\/Vierarmen restera accessible et il n'y aura aucune r\u00e9percussion sur l'autoroute.<\/p>\n

Dans un deuxi\u00e8me temps, les travaux de construction se poursuivront le long du Ring, d'abord \u00e0 Wezembeek-Oppem, puis en direction de Zaventem.<\/p>\n

3 ponts suppl\u00e9mentaires pour les cyclistes<\/h4>\n

Parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 la construction de la piste cyclable \u00e0 circulation s\u00e9par\u00e9e, trois nouveaux ponts cyclables sont \u00e9galement en cours de construction. L'un d'entre eux enjambera l'avenue de Wezembeek\/Wezembeeklaan, un deuxi\u00e8me l'avenue Oscar De Burbure\/Oscar De Barburelaan, et un troisi\u00e8me la rue Alphonse Lenaerts\/Alphonse Lenaertsstraat.<\/p>\n

Ce n'est pas le premier projet cyclable mis en \u0153uvre \u00e0 cet endroit. En novembre 2024, un pont pi\u00e9tonnier et cyclable en bois de 67,5 m\u00e8tres de long, con\u00e7u par Ney & Partners, a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9 \u00e0 ce m\u00eame carrefour dans le cadre de l'autoroute cyclable F29 reliant Bruxelles, Tervuren et Louvain.<\/p>\n
