Mardi 4 ao\u00fbt, le Brabo La ligne \u00e0 haute tension III du port d'Anvers a \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement inaugur\u00e9e, en pr\u00e9sence du Premier ministre belge Bart De Wever (N-VA) et du ministre n\u00e9erlandais Rob Jetten. <\/span><\/p>\n

Elia et TenneT ont inaugur\u00e9 le projet Brabo \u2013 une modernisation de l'interconnexion \u00e9lectrique entre la Belgique et les Pays-Bas \u2013 au port d'Anvers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kinrooi-Maasbracht<\/h4>\n

Elia, gestionnaire du r\u00e9seau \u00e0 haute tension, et son homologue n\u00e9erlandais TenneT pr\u00e9voient \u00e9galement de renforcer la liaison \u00e9lectrique passant par le Limbourg afin d'\u00e9liminer les goulots d'\u00e9tranglement \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ils investissent conjointement jusqu'\u00e0 280 millions d'euros pour renforcer la liaison haute tension dans le Limbourg, entre Kinrooi, dans le Limbourg belge, et Maasbracht, aux Pays-Bas, et <\/span>ont pour objectif de mettre en service cette liaison modernis\u00e9e d'ici 2035.<\/span><\/p>\n

Si l'on ajoute \u00e0 cela le corridor d'Anvers et le renforcement pr\u00e9vu de la ligne Kinrooi-Maasbracht, la capacit\u00e9 d'\u00e9change th\u00e9orique totale pourrait \u00e0 terme atteindre environ 5,2 GW.<\/p>\n

Conflit ant\u00e9rieur<\/h4>\n

Le projet du Limbourg rappelle un diff\u00e9rend ant\u00e9rieur concernant la centrale \u00e0 gaz Claus C de RWE, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 Maasbracht. La Belgique avait auparavant envisag\u00e9 de raccorder directement cette centrale de 1 304 MW \u00e0 son propre r\u00e9seau via Kinrooi.<\/p>\n

Selon cette proposition, la centrale Claus C aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9connect\u00e9e du r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique n\u00e9erlandais et int\u00e9gr\u00e9e \u00e0 la zone de contr\u00f4le belge. Cela aurait permis \u00e0 cette centrale, bien que situ\u00e9e aux Pays-Bas, de participer au m\u00e9canisme belge de r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration de la capacit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Finalement, les autorit\u00e9s n\u00e9erlandaises ont rejet\u00e9 le projet. Avec le nouveau plan Kinrooi-Maasbracht, les deux pays \u00e9tendent l'infrastructure commune permettant le transport d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 dans les deux sens.<\/p>\n

La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique en p\u00e9riode d'incertitude<\/h4>\n

La demande en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 ne fera que continuer \u00e0 augmenter \u00e0 l'avenir, sous l'effet de l'\u00e9lectrification du parc automobile ainsi que de la transition industrielle des combustibles fossiles vers l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. <\/span>Il est donc important que nous soyons en mesure de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces besoins.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nous devons renforcer le r\u00e9seau et favoriser les \u00e9changes.\u00a0<\/span>La nouvelle ligne \u00e0 haute tension est con\u00e7ue pour offrir e<\/span>la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique en p\u00e9riode d'incertitude, afin de <\/span>renforcer le r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique autour du port et faciliter les \u00e9changes d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 avec les Pays-Bas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brabo III est la troisi\u00e8me et derni\u00e8re phase d'un grand projet dans le domaine de la haute tension, qui h<\/span>Elia, gestionnaire du r\u00e9seau haute tension, a lanc\u00e9 en 2013 un projet comprenant le renforcement des lignes \u00e0 haute tension, la pose de c\u00e2bles souterrains et la connexion entre les rives gauche et droite. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ce projet repr\u00e9sente un investissement de 350 millions d'euros pour un tron\u00e7on de 35 kilom\u00e8tres du r\u00e9seau \u00e0 haute tension belge, reliant le poste de Mercator \u00e0 Kruibeke au poste de Zandvliet, situ\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de la fronti\u00e8re n\u00e9erlandaise.<\/span><\/p>\n

La partie la plus visible du projet est le nouveau passage \u00e9lectrique au-dessus de l'Escaut, pr\u00e8s de Lillo. Ses pyl\u00f4nes de 192 m\u00e8tres sont les plus hauts du Benelux et permettent m\u00eame aux plus grands navires de passer sous les c\u00e2bles.<\/p>\n

Id\u00e9al pour les deux<\/h4>\n

Brabo vient ainsi parachever la mise en place d'un r\u00e9seau \u00e0 haute tension autour de la zone portuaire d'Anvers. Ce projet devrait permettre d'augmenter l'offre d'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 destin\u00e9e aux entreprises industrielles souhaitant \u00e9lectrifier leurs processus de production, tout en renfor\u00e7ant la connexion de la Belgique au r\u00e9seau n\u00e9erlandais.<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e2ce aux travaux de renforcement d\u00e9j\u00e0 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par l'op\u00e9rateur de r\u00e9seau n\u00e9erlandais TenneT, ce corridor permet d\u00e9sormais d'\u00e9changer jusqu'\u00e0 environ 2,8 GW entre la Belgique et les Pays-Bas.<\/p>\n

Pour ces deux pays, la strat\u00e9gie globale consiste \u00e0 renforcer la r\u00e9silience de leurs syst\u00e8mes \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques tout en att\u00e9nuant les disparit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de disponibilit\u00e9 et de prix de l'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Ind\u00e9pendance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/h4>\n

Un vaste r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique europ\u00e9en est essentiel pour parvenir \u00e0 l'ind\u00e9pendance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et pr\u00e9sente de nombreux avantages. Il <\/span>garantit une plus grande s\u00e9curit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re d'approvisionnement, d'accessibilit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re et de durabilit\u00e9. <\/span><\/p>\n

L'\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 peut circuler depuis les r\u00e9gions o\u00f9 l'\u00e9nergie est disponible en abondance \u2013 et o\u00f9 la capacit\u00e9 de production est donc la moins ch\u00e8re \u2013 vers celles o\u00f9 la demande est la plus forte. Cela permet de ma\u00eetriser efficacement les prix et de mieux r\u00e9sister aux pics et aux fluctuations. De plus, s<\/span>Les exc\u00e9dents d'\u00e9nergie renouvelable peuvent \u00e9galement \u00eatre r\u00e9partis entre diff\u00e9rents pays europ\u00e9ens.<\/span><\/p>\n
