{"id":191655,"date":"2026-08-17T16:18:49","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T14:18:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/?p=191655"},"modified":"2026-08-17T16:18:49","modified_gmt":"2026-08-17T14:18:49","slug":"belgium-builds-hydrogen-highway-but-customers-dont-bite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newmobility.news\/fr\/2026\/08\/17\/belgium-builds-hydrogen-highway-but-customers-dont-bite\/","title":{"rendered":"La Belgique construit une autoroute \u00e0 l'hydrog\u00e8ne, mais les clients ne se laissent pas s\u00e9duire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Le nouveau gazoduc \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne de 48 kilom\u00e8tres que l'op\u00e9rateur belge de r\u00e9seaux gaziers Fluxys est en train de construire entre les p\u00f4les industriels des ports d'Anvers (Kallo) et de Gand (Zelzate) traverse une p\u00e9riode difficile.<\/p>\n<p>Selon les journaux \u00e9conomiques \u00ab De Tijd \u00bb et \u00ab L\u2019Echo \u00bb, aucun contrat contraignant n\u2019a encore \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9 avec des clients.<\/p>\n<p>Le r\u00e9seau de gazoducs a pour objectif de faciliter la transition du gaz naturel vers l'hydrog\u00e8ne \u2013 et, par cons\u00e9quent, de r\u00e9duire le nombre de camions en circulation \u2013, mais pour l'instant, les clients adoptent une attitude attentiste, car ils ne savent pas encore ce que leur co\u00fbtera l'utilisation de ces gazoducs.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le m\u00eame temps, le march\u00e9 europ\u00e9en de l'hydrog\u00e8ne vert dans son ensemble conna\u00eet tout simplement un essor plus lent que pr\u00e9vu.<\/p>\n<h4>Suspension du permis de construire<\/h4>\n<p>En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, Fluxys se trouve dans une impasse concernant le r\u00e9seau d'infrastructures souterraines reliant les ports maritimes flamands : d'une part, le march\u00e9 peine \u00e0 d\u00e9coller ; d'autre part, le projet s'av\u00e8re plus co\u00fbteux que pr\u00e9vu.<\/p>\n<p>Par exemple, les travaux relatifs au nouveau gazoduc d'hydrog\u00e8ne, qui consistent \u00e0 faire passer le trac\u00e9 du gazoduc Kallo-Zelzate parall\u00e8lement \u00e0 la E34 et \u00e0 un gazoduc de gaz naturel existant, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 interrompus pendant une longue p\u00e9riode.<\/p>\n<p>En avril 2025, la Commission charg\u00e9e des litiges en mati\u00e8re de permis a suspendu le permis de construire, car certains fruiticulteurs craignaient que leurs cultures ne subissent des dommages. Cette d\u00e9cision s'expliquait par le fait que les \u00e9tudes men\u00e9es n'\u00e9taient pas suffisantes pour d\u00e9terminer si les rejets issus du drainage des eaux souterraines auraient des effets n\u00e9fastes sur les eaux de surface et un cours d'eau local.<\/p>\n<p>En raison de ce retard, Fluxys n'a pas pu respecter la date limite pour d\u00e9poser une demande de pr\u00eat europ\u00e9en de 80 millions d'euros, rapporte De Tijd\/L'Echo. L'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, Fluxys a \u00e9galement perdu une subvention f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de 250 millions d'euros.<\/p>\n<h4>Les clients se montrent r\u00e9ticents<\/h4>\n<p>La cons\u00e9quence logique de cette r\u00e9duction des subventions est qu\u2019une part plus importante des co\u00fbts d\u2019investissement sera r\u00e9percut\u00e9e sur les futurs utilisateurs via les tarifs de transport. Mais pour l\u2019instant, ces clients se montrent r\u00e9ticents, pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment parce que le march\u00e9 ne suit pas le rythme et que la politique tarifaire n\u2019est pas encore tr\u00e8s claire.<\/p>\n<p>La plupart des projets commerciaux li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'hydrog\u00e8ne vert ont tendance \u00e0 \u00e9chouer rapidement, en partie parce qu'ils s'av\u00e8rent trop co\u00fbteux. En r\u00e9sum\u00e9 : le march\u00e9 de l'hydrog\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sente un fort potentiel, mais il reste tr\u00e8s incertain et d\u00e9pend fortement des subventions publiques.<\/p>\n<p>Outre les co\u00fbts technologiques \u00e9lev\u00e9s et les infrastructures \u00e0 mettre en place (l'hydrog\u00e8ne peut corroder certains types d'acier et les rendre cassants, ce qui explique pourquoi, dans certains cas, il faut construire de nouveaux gazoducs sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s pour l'hydrog\u00e8ne au lieu de r\u00e9utiliser les gazoducs existants).<\/p>\n<p>De ce fait, les clients h\u00e9sitent \u00e0 signer des contrats tant qu\u2019un approvisionnement suffisant en hydrog\u00e8ne \u00e0 bas prix n\u2019est pas garanti. Si le d\u00e9bit dans les gazoducs est tr\u00e8s faible au cours des premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les tarifs de transport \u00e0 l\u2019unit\u00e9 atteignent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des sommets, ou bien l\u2019\u00c9tat ou le gestionnaire de r\u00e9seau doit couvrir les pertes par le biais de subventions ou en r\u00e9partissant les co\u00fbts entre les autres utilisateurs du r\u00e9seau.<\/p>\n<p>Les experts en \u00e9nergie soulignent \u00e9galement que l'hydrog\u00e8ne reste pour l'instant une ressource rare et co\u00fbteuse.<\/p>\n<h4><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-191707 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/H2infrastructureservices.png?resize=640%2C360&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/H2infrastructureservices.png?resize=1024%2C576&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/H2infrastructureservices.png?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/H2infrastructureservices.png?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>P\u00f4le d'importation et de transit<\/h4>\n<p>Plusieurs pays europ\u00e9ens s'attachent \u00e0 mettre en place un r\u00e9seau national d'hydrog\u00e8ne afin de rendre leur industrie lourde plus durable. Dans le cadre de cette initiative, Fluxys concentre ses efforts sur les ports d'Anvers-Bruges et de Gand.<\/p>\n<p>De l\u00e0, l'hydrog\u00e8ne \u2013 ou ses d\u00e9riv\u00e9s, tels que l'ammoniac vert \u2013 sera achemin\u00e9 par gazoduc non seulement vers l'industrie belge, mais aussi vers les Pays-Bas et l'arri\u00e8re-pays allemand.<\/p>\n<p>Fluxys s'est donc engag\u00e9e \u00e0 devenir une plaque tournante \u2013 et la Belgique un pays d'importation et de transit \u2013, notamment parce que, contrairement aux Pays-Bas et \u00e0 l'Allemagne, par exemple, la Belgique ne dispose pas de cavit\u00e9s salines souterraines permettant un stockage \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, ce qui est essentiel pour compenser les fluctuations de l'\u00e9nergie \u00e9olienne et solaire.<\/p>\n<p>Mais tout comme en Belgique, on constate \u00e9galement dans ces pays que les utilisateurs finaux se montrent r\u00e9ticents en raison des prix \u00e9lev\u00e9s de l'hydrog\u00e8ne vert, qui reste encore 3, voire 5 fois plus cher que les combustibles fossiles.<\/p>\n<p>L'Espagne et le Portugal sont les pays d'Europe o\u00f9 la production d'hydrog\u00e8ne vert est la moins ch\u00e8re, et le projet H2Med vise \u00e0 faire en sorte que cet hydrog\u00e8ne \u00e0 bas co\u00fbt parvienne aux industries d'Europe du Nord.<\/p>\n<p>Ce gazoduc, qui traverse la mer M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e jusqu'\u00e0 Marseille, devrait \u00eatre mis en service en 2030 et transportera 2 millions de tonnes d'hydrog\u00e8ne vert par an.<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, ce projet a \u00e9galement pris deux ans de retard et devrait couvrir 10% de la demande totale pr\u00e9vue par l'UE.<\/p>\n<p>Un autre facteur entre en jeu en Belgique : de nombreuses entreprises belges optent pour des pompes \u00e0 chaleur industrielles, des chaudi\u00e8res \u00e9lectriques ou des batteries plut\u00f4t que pour l'hydrog\u00e8ne.
