Par le pass\u00e9, l'a\u00e9roport de Bruxelles et De Lijn avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 test\u00e9 une navette autonome, et un projet est actuellement en cours concernant une navette \u00e9lectrique autonome destin\u00e9e au transport du personnel de l'a\u00e9roport.<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, selon l'a\u00e9roport, il s'agit du premier essai pratique de transport autonome de marchandises \u2013 et donc sp\u00e9cifiquement destin\u00e9 au fret \u2013 dans un a\u00e9roport belge.<\/p>\n<p>L'objectif est d'\u00e9valuer dans quelle mesure les technologies autonomes peuvent contribuer \u00e0 rendre certaines op\u00e9rations de fret plus efficaces et plus durables.<\/p>\n<h4>Quatre itin\u00e9raires pr\u00e9d\u00e9finis<\/h4>\n<p>Ce tracteur, un tracteur de remorquage autonome AT135 capable de transporter jusqu\u2019\u00e0 quatre remorques de fret \u00e0 la fois, circule sur quatre itin\u00e9raires pr\u00e9d\u00e9finis et combine la navigation par satellite \u00e0 des capteurs laser pour surveiller son environnement et d\u00e9tecter les obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>Navya Mobility a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 le logiciel et permet la navigation dans un environnement tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 o\u00f9 circulent diff\u00e9rents types de v\u00e9hicules. Le v\u00e9hicule est certifi\u00e9 CE conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la directive europ\u00e9enne relative aux machines.<\/p>\n<p>Comme il s\u2019agit d\u2019un v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique, il ne g\u00e9n\u00e8re aucune \u00e9mission de CO\u2082 ni de particules sur le site m\u00eame \u2013 un aspect important \u00e0 prendre en compte dans une zone de fret o\u00f9 circulent traditionnellement de nombreux tracteurs diesel.<\/p>\n<h4>Navya Mobility<\/h4>\n<p>Ces essais sont men\u00e9s en collaboration avec les op\u00e9rateurs de fret WFS Cargo et Charlatte Autonom, une coentreprise r\u00e9unissant la plateforme logistique de Charlatte Manutention \u2013 un constructeur fran\u00e7ais de camions et de v\u00e9hicules a\u00e9roportuaires \u2013 et Navya Mobility, une entreprise sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans les technologies de conduite autonome bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Villeurbanne, pr\u00e8s de Lyon.<\/p>\n<p>Elles se d\u00e9roulent dans des conditions strictement contr\u00f4l\u00e9es et en dehors des heures de pointe. Un op\u00e9rateur qualifi\u00e9 est toujours pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 bord pour surveiller la situation et intervenir si n\u00e9cessaire. En mode autonome, la vitesse est limit\u00e9e \u00e0 12 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 travers ce projet pilote, les partenaires visent non seulement \u00e0 \u00e9valuer la technologie, mais aussi \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer les conditions \u00e0 remplir pour un \u00e9ventuel d\u00e9ploiement \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle.<\/p>\n<p>Il convient toutefois de noter qu\u2019apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 relanc\u00e9e \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une faillite, Navya Mobility est d\u00e9sormais majoritairement d\u00e9tenue par des actionnaires japonais et, de ce fait, se concentre davantage sur des projets li\u00e9s aux navettes autonomes en Asie. L\u2019entreprise fait toutefois toujours partie de cette coentreprise : ses projets seront pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s lors du salon GSE Expo Europe, qui se tiendra \u00e0 Lisbonne en septembre.<\/p>\n<h4>Forte densit\u00e9 d'incidence<\/h4>\n<p>Avec un logiciel, vous connaissez pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l'itin\u00e9raire, la vitesse et la dur\u00e9e de chaque trajet. Cela permet une planification plus pr\u00e9cise. Avec des conducteurs humains, vous n'avez d'autre choix que de pr\u00e9voir une marge de man\u0153uvre pour tenir compte des impr\u00e9vus.<\/p>\n<p>Un autre avantage r\u00e9side dans le fait qu\u2019il est plus facile d\u2019\u00e9tendre le syst\u00e8me \u00e0 un plus grand nombre de v\u00e9hicules sans avoir \u00e0 former et \u00e0 superviser un nombre proportionnellement plus important de personnes.<\/p>\n<p>Il faut \u00e9galement se demander quelle sera l'ampleur de ce gain de temps, car un pilote humain roule plus vite. Cependant, la Flight Safety Foundation estime que 27 000 accidents sur les aires de trafic, y compris les op\u00e9rations de chargement, les collisions avec des avions, etc., ainsi que des incidents, se produisent chaque ann\u00e9e dans le monde ; cela repr\u00e9sente environ un accident pour 1 000 vols.<\/p>\n<p>Ces incidents entra\u00eenent environ 243 000 bless\u00e9s chaque ann\u00e9e. Le co\u00fbt pour les grandes compagnies a\u00e9riennes du monde entier est estim\u00e9 \u00e0 $10 milliards, voire plus, par an.<\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9tude de l'IATA r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en 2016 a \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que les op\u00e9rations li\u00e9es aux \u00e9quipements d\u2019assistance au sol, tels que les tracteurs de remorquage, repr\u00e9sentent 47% de l\u2019ensemble des dommages caus\u00e9s aux avions au sol. Cela correspond \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 de tous les incidents de dommages, et c\u2019est l\u2019une des raisons pour lesquelles l\u2019a\u00e9roport de Bruxelles et d\u2019autres a\u00e9roports investissent dans ce domaine.<\/p>\n<h4>Projet Stargate<\/h4>\n<p>Le projet pilote men\u00e9 \u00e0 l'a\u00e9roport de Bruxelles s'inscrit dans le cadre du programme europ\u00e9en Stargate, qui vise \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper et \u00e0 tester des solutions pour une aviation plus durable.
