Selon la marque, c'est d'abord une Range Rover, et ensuite un v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Mais cela suffira-t-il \u00e0 convaincre les acheteurs fortun\u00e9s qui ont boud\u00e9 la Mercedes Classe G \u00e9lectrique ? Peut-\u00eatre que le v\u00e9ritable concurrent ici est justement ce Range Rover \u00e0 essence expos\u00e9 dans le m\u00eame showroom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Apr\u00e8s pr\u00e8s de deux ans de retards et de r\u00e9sultats d'essais insatisfaisants, Range Rover a enfin ouvert les carnets de commande pour son premier mod\u00e8le enti\u00e8rement \u00e9lectrique. Ces personnes s'attendaient \u00e0 recevoir leur v\u00e9hicule en 2024, mais le lancement a \u00e9t\u00e9 repouss\u00e9 \u00e0 2025, et ce n'est qu'aujourd'hui, en septembre 2026, que les premiers exemplaires feront leur apparition dans les all\u00e9es. Sous le couvert d'une nouvelle forme de gr\u00e2ce : le silence.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p2\">Pourquoi \u00e7a a pris autant de temps ?<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p2\">Range Rover insiste sur le fait que ce retard \u00e9tait li\u00e9 \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 de perfectionner le produit, et non \u00e0 des consid\u00e9rations commerciales. Martin Limpert, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Range Rover, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00e0 la BBC que l\u2019entreprise avait pouss\u00e9 les essais \u201c encore plus loin que pr\u00e9vu initialement afin de s\u2019assurer que le Range Rover Electric soit v\u00e9ritablement le Range Rover le plus abouti de tous les temps \u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Les chiffres qui \u00e9tayent cette affirmation sont incontestablement impressionnants : les prototypes ont parcouru une distance \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 38 tours du monde, auxquels s'ajoutent plus de 250 000 heures d'essais virtuels. La composition chimique NMC alimente une architecture \u00e9lectrique de 800 volts. Bien entendu, comme il s\u2019agit d\u2019un Range Rover, la transmission int\u00e9grale est assur\u00e9e par deux moteurs \u00e0 excitation permanente.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Ensemble, ils d\u00e9veloppent 405 kW (542 chevaux) et 850 Nm de couple dans la version la plus puissante, l\u2019EV550. Une puissance digne d\u2019un V8 qui se traduit par des acc\u00e9l\u00e9rations gracieuses : le sprint de 0 \u00e0 100 km\/h est boucl\u00e9 en 4,5 secondes. Pas mal pour une voiture qui semble n\u00e9cessiter un permis de construire. L\u2019EV450 d\u00e9veloppe \u2013 vous l\u2019avez devin\u00e9 \u2013 450 hp et atteint les 100 km\/h en 5,6 secondes. Ce qui reste tout de m\u00eame tr\u00e8s rapide.<\/p>\n<h4>Recharge dans vingt minutes<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p2\">Mais, apr\u00e8s tout, ce n\u2019est pas le fait de faire rouler vite une voiture \u00e9lectrique qui est exceptionnel ; ce qui l\u2019est, c\u2019est d\u2019offrir une autonomie respectable \u00e0 un mastodonte de pr\u00e8s de 3 tonnes. Land Rover annonce une autonomie de 601 kilom\u00e8tres pour les deux mod\u00e8les, ce qui est sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celle de la Classe G mentionn\u00e9e plus haut (435 kilom\u00e8tres) avec une batterie \u00e0 peine plus petite (116 kWh).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Mais dans des conditions r\u00e9elles d'utilisation, ce poids de 2 885 kg ne manquera pas de faire baisser l'autonomie du Range Rover. La consommation officielle s'\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 24,7 kWh aux 100 kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Malgr\u00e9 l'\u00e9norme batterie, Land Rover promet une recharge de 10 \u00e0 80 % en seulement 22 minutes, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une puissance de recharge maximale de 350 kW. L\u00e0 encore, il est encore rare de trouver une borne de recharge capable de supporter une telle puissance. Ainsi, avec des chargeurs moins puissants, par exemple de 250 kW, ce temps d'attente doublera.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-193240\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/aum_photo_20260902_268855.jpg?resize=640%2C480&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/aum_photo_20260902_268855.jpg?w=2364&amp;ssl=1 2364w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/aum_photo_20260902_268855.jpg?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/newmobility.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/aum_photo_20260902_268855.jpg?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">La question que se posent les sceptiques est bien s\u00fbr de savoir si un groupe motopropulseur \u00e9lectrique peut offrir la m\u00eame ma\u00eetrise \u00e0 basse vitesse qui donne \u00e0 n'importe quel \u2018 Rangie \u2019 l'impression de pouvoir gravir l'Himalaya.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">La r\u00e9ponse de Land Rover r\u00e9side dans une suite de syst\u00e8mes \u00ab Intelligent Driveline Dynamics \u00bb et \u00ab Integrated Traction Management \u00bb capables de moduler la vitesse du moteur en moins de 50 millisecondes et de r\u00e9agir au patinage des roues 100 fois plus vite qu'une transmission \u00e0 combustion interne \u00e9quivalente.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">La conduite \u00e0 une seule p\u00e9dale fonctionne sur des pentes allant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 45 degr\u00e9s. C\u2019est raide. La profondeur de passage \u00e0 gu\u00e9 est de 900 millim\u00e8tres. C\u2019est profond. Mais ne vous attendez pas \u00e0 des virages spectaculaires, comme si vous pouviez faire danser la Classe G.<\/p>\n<h4>Impossible \u00e0 distinguer<\/h4>\n<p class=\"p3\">Land Rover a d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment con\u00e7u le Range Rover \u00e9lectrique de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 ce qu'il soit pratiquement impossible de le distinguer de ses homologues \u00e0 essence. Les seuls indices qui le trahissent sont une calandre redessin\u00e9e, des jantes sur mesure et deux ports de recharge situ\u00e9s de part et d'autre \u00e0 l'arri\u00e8re, un choix int\u00e9ressant et plut\u00f4t pratique.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Il n'y a pas de badge sp\u00e9cifique aux v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques ; le constructeur a estim\u00e9 que ses clients souhaitaient le mod\u00e8le tel quel, qu'il soit \u00e9quip\u00e9 d'une motorisation \u00e9lectrique ou non. C'est cette m\u00eame approche qui a fait le succ\u00e8s de la gamme \u00e9lectrique de BMW. Un int\u00e9rieur sans cuir, compos\u00e9 de laine et d'autres textiles, est d\u00e9sormais disponible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">L'\u00e9cran tactile incurv\u00e9 Pivi Pro de 13,1 pouces, les fonctionnalit\u00e9s sans fil Apple CarPlay et Android Auto, ainsi que le syst\u00e8me de divertissement \u00e0 l'arri\u00e8re dot\u00e9 de deux \u00e9crans de 11,4 pouces sont reconduits. Il en va de m\u00eame pour les configurations de si\u00e8ges, disponibles en versions quatre, cinq ou sept places.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Le Range Rover repose sur l'architecture MLA de Jaguar-Land Rover, une plateforme flexible qui sert \u00e9galement de base aux versions hybride l\u00e9g\u00e8re, hybride rechargeable et \u00e0 moteur \u00e0 combustion interne issues de la m\u00eame cha\u00eene de production. Cette flexibilit\u00e9 est pragmatique.
