L'\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier, 4,5 millions de voyageurs ont emprunt\u00e9 le tramway c\u00f4tier sur la c\u00f4te belge, soit une l\u00e9g\u00e8re hausse de 0,4% par rapport \u00e0 l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Le mois d'ao\u00fbt a \u00e9t\u00e9 un mois record pour le tramway c\u00f4tier, avec 2,33 millions de voyageurs, soit 70 000 de plus qu'en juillet.<\/p>\n

La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 flamande de transports publics De Lijn se r\u00e9jouit, mais se montre \u00e9galement surprise.<\/p>\n

Parcours de 67 km<\/h4>\n

En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, le tramway c\u00f4tier est moins fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 lorsque les temp\u00e9ratures ext\u00e9rieures remontent, mais la fr\u00e9quentation continue d\u2019augmenter, m\u00eame si le temps \u00e9tait magnifique cet \u00e9t\u00e9. Selon Frederik Wittock, porte-parole de De Lijn, ces chiffres montrent que le tramway c\u00f4tier fait d\u00e9sormais partie int\u00e9grante du quotidien des touristes comme des habitants du littoral, quelle que soit la m\u00e9t\u00e9o.<\/p>\n

Le tramway c\u00f4tier relie l'ensemble du littoral, de La Panne \u00e0 Knokke, soit un parcours de 67 km. Cependant, \u00ab De Lijn \u00bb mobilise traditionnellement davantage de moyens le long du littoral pendant l'\u00e9t\u00e9, en faisant appel \u00e0 des v\u00e9hicules provenant de l'arri\u00e8re-pays. De plus, les conducteurs effectuent des services plus longs.<\/p>\n

Toutes les 10 minutes<\/h4>\n

En juillet et en ao\u00fbt, le tram circule \u00e9galement toutes les dix minutes, ce qui en fait une alternative pratique avec un temps d'attente minimal.<\/p>\n
