Il s'agit de la plateforme \u00e9lectrique pour voitures compactes \u00e0 traction avant utilis\u00e9e notamment pour l'ID. Polo, entre autres mod\u00e8les.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 la XL1, ce nouveau concept-car s'appuie beaucoup moins sur des technologies de pointe. Il utilise le moteur \u00e9lectrique de 99 kW (135 ch) et la batterie NMC d'une capacit\u00e9 nette de 54,9 kWh que l'on retrouve dans des mod\u00e8les tels que l'ID. Polo.<\/p>\n<p>Mais pour optimiser son autonomie, il mise sur son efficacit\u00e9 a\u00e9rodynamique, que Volkswagen pr\u00e9sente comme un record mondial pour un concept \u2018 pr\u00eat pour la production \u2019. Le prototype b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d'une homologation europ\u00e9enne et respecte la r\u00e9glementation en mati\u00e8re de protection des occupants et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 en cas de collision.<\/p>\n<h4>Trois records du monde<\/h4>\n<p>En effet, la marque d\u00e9tient trois records du monde. Le premier est un Cx de 0,158, ce qui en fait le v\u00e9hicule homologu\u00e9 pour la route le plus a\u00e9rodynamique. La batterie a \u00e9t\u00e9 recharg\u00e9e une fois et, \u00e0 l'arriv\u00e9e, il restait encore 164 kilom\u00e8tres d'autonomie. .<\/p>\n<h4><b>Rendement a\u00e9rodynamique plut\u00f4t que capacit\u00e9 de la batterie<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>La Mission Efficiency mesure 1,392 mm de hauteur, 1,744 mm de largeur et 4,775 mm de longueur. Elle est ainsi plus longue de 722 mm que l\u2019ID. Polo, principalement en raison d\u2019un empattement plus long de 100 mm (2 700 mm) et d\u2019un porte-\u00e0-faux arri\u00e8re plus long qui s\u2019affine vers l\u2019arri\u00e8re, lui conf\u00e9rant ainsi une silhouette en forme de goutte. C\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment cette forme a\u00e9rodynamique qui est la cl\u00e9 de sa consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie record.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que la forme du mod\u00e8le \u00e0 elle seule repr\u00e9sente 47% de l'efficacit\u00e9 a\u00e9rodynamique, la faible tra\u00een\u00e9e est \u00e9galement obtenue gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des ouvertures de refroidissement actives \u00e0 l'avant, des jantes et des d\u00e9flecteurs a\u00e9rodynamiques, un dessous de caisse enti\u00e8rement ferm\u00e9, des roues arri\u00e8re encapsul\u00e9es, des poign\u00e9es de porte affleurantes et des vitres de porte sans cadre.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9troviseurs restent classiques, car les essais en soufflerie ont montr\u00e9 que leur remplacement par des cam\u00e9ras n'aurait pratiquement aucun impact. De plus, la voiture dispose d'un coffre de 481 litres et sa banquette arri\u00e8re peut \u00eatre rabattue pour transporter des objets plus longs.<\/p>\n<p>Elle est plut\u00f4t pratique, m\u00eame s'il s'agit toujours d'un coup\u00e9 2+2.
