Volvo Cars va supprimer 2 500 emplois, principalement dans son pays d'origine, la Su\u00e8de, alors que le groupe cherche \u00e0 r\u00e9duire ses co\u00fbts face \u00e0 la concurrence acharn\u00e9e des constructeurs automobiles chinois et que les droits de douane et la faiblesse de la demande p\u00e8sent sur ses ventes aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>

La soci\u00e9t\u00e9, d\u00e9tenue majoritairement par le groupe chinois Geely, a annonc\u00e9 une perte d'exploitation ajust\u00e9e de 3,7 milliards de couronnes su\u00e9doises (333 millions d'euros) pour le troisi\u00e8me trimestre, contre un b\u00e9n\u00e9fice de 5,8 milliards de couronnes (522 millions d'euros) un an plus t\u00f4t.<\/p>
