Au troisi\u00e8me trimestre 2026, les ventes de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie (BEV) ont atteint des niveaux records dans toute l'Europe, 13 des 27 pays de l'UE ayant enregistr\u00e9 leur meilleur r\u00e9sultat trimestriel jamais atteint en la mati\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie (BEV) sont d\u00e9sormais le type de motorisation le plus vendu dans 11 pays europ\u00e9ens. Bien s\u00fbr, les march\u00e9s pr\u00e9sentent encore des diff\u00e9rences significatives. La part des BEV parmi les voitures nouvellement immatricul\u00e9es varie de 4,5% (Croatie) \u00e0 98,5% (Norv\u00e8ge).<\/p>\n

Faits marquants<\/h4>\n

Les nouvelles donn\u00e9es du troisi\u00e8me trimestre (bas\u00e9es sur les chiffres d'immatriculation des voitures particuli\u00e8res fournis par l'Association des constructeurs europ\u00e9ens d'automobiles (ACEA)) permettent de d\u00e9gager quelques faits marquants. Premi\u00e8rement, les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie repr\u00e9sentent d\u00e9j\u00e0 27% du march\u00e9 des voitures neuves dans l'Union europ\u00e9enne. Deuxi\u00e8mement, les ventes de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie ont d\u00e9pass\u00e9 celles des v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 essence et diesel r\u00e9unies.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9pass\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois les ventes de v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 essence au deuxi\u00e8me trimestre (T2 2026), les ventes de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie (BEV) dans l'UE d\u00e9passaient d\u00e9sormais de 44% celles des v\u00e9hicules \u00e0 essence. Les BEV d\u00e9tiennent une part de march\u00e9 record dans 16 pays de l'UE. Enfin, les ventes de voitures fonctionnant exclusivement \u00e0 l'essence ont chut\u00e9 \u00e0 19%, contre 26% au m\u00eame trimestre de l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Multipli\u00e9 par dix en moins de huit ans<\/h4>\n

En examinant les chiffres globaux des immatriculations trimestrielles de voitures neuves dans l\u2019UE sur pr\u00e8s de huit ans, on constate une transition majeure des voitures \u00e0 essence et diesel vers les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9s. Au deuxi\u00e8me trimestre 2019, avant la pand\u00e9mie, l'UE a vendu plus de 2 millions (2 065 000) de voitures \u00e0 essence et pr\u00e8s de 1,13 million (1 129 700) de voitures diesel en trois mois.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 cette \u00e9poque, les ventes de voitures hybrides s'\u00e9levaient \u00e0 moins de 200 000 unit\u00e9s (185 600), celles des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie (BEV) \u00e0 moins de 60 000 (56 100) et celles des v\u00e9hicules hybrides rechargeables (PHEV) \u00e0 moins de 30 000 (28 300). Au total, les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9s repr\u00e9sentaient 270 000 v\u00e9hicules neufs, soit 7,81 % du march\u00e9 total.<\/p>\n

Au troisi\u00e8me trimestre 2026, pr\u00e8s de 900 000 voitures hybrides ont \u00e9t\u00e9 vendues dans l'UE, soit 35,11 TP3T du total des ventes, suivies par les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie (BEV), dont les ventes ont d\u00e9pass\u00e9 les 710 000 unit\u00e9s (27,91 TP3T),\u00a0 les voitures \u00e0 essence, avec un peu moins d'un demi-million d'unit\u00e9s (19,41 TP3T), les v\u00e9hicules hybrides rechargeables (PHEV), avec pr\u00e8s de 283 000 unit\u00e9s vendues (11,11 TP3T), et les voitures diesel, avec 162 610 unit\u00e9s vendues (6,41 TP3T de part de march\u00e9 totale).<\/p>\n

Comme on peut \u00e9galement le constater, le march\u00e9 total de l'UE a fortement chut\u00e9 par rapport aux niveaux d'avant la pand\u00e9mie (passant de pr\u00e8s de 3,5 millions de voitures \u00e0 un peu moins de 3 millions au deuxi\u00e8me trimestre 2019 par rapport au deuxi\u00e8me trimestre 2026), mais la part des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9s a \u00e9t\u00e9 multipli\u00e9e par pr\u00e8s de dix pour atteindre un peu plus de 70%.<\/p>\n
