\u00c0 la fin du cycle de vie de leur g\u00e9n\u00e9ration actuelle, les Range Rover Evoque et Velar ne seront pas remplac\u00e9s. C'est plut\u00f4t le Range Rover GT, un mod\u00e8le bien mieux positionn\u00e9, qui deviendra le mod\u00e8le d'entr\u00e9e de gamme de la marque.<\/p>\n

Martin Limbert, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Range Rover, a confirm\u00e9 au magazine britannique Autocar qu'il n'y aurait pas de rempla\u00e7ant direct pour ces deux mod\u00e8les.<\/p>\n

La production de l'Evoque et du Velar se poursuivra jusqu'en 2027. D'ici la fin de l'ann\u00e9e, ces deux mod\u00e8les auront atteint la fin de leur cycle de vie et leur production prendra fin. Les capacit\u00e9s des usines o\u00f9 ils sont fabriqu\u00e9s seront alors r\u00e9affect\u00e9es \u00e0 d'autres produits.<\/p>\n

Pourquoi JLR prend-elle cette d\u00e9cision ?<\/b><\/h4>\n

Avec l'Evoque et, dans une moindre mesure, le Velar, la marque Range Rover s'est d\u00e9mocratis\u00e9e, sans pour autant devenir n\u00e9cessairement plus rentable. Parall\u00e8lement, elle a quelque peu cannibalis\u00e9 le march\u00e9 des mod\u00e8les Land Rover, bien que leur positionnement soit diff\u00e9rent.<\/p>\n

En ne poursuivant pas la production de <\/span>l'Evoque et le Velar<\/span>, Range Rover\u00a0<\/a>fera en sorte que<\/span>\u00a0la GT, son mod\u00e8le d'entr\u00e9e de gamme.<\/span> Ce sera <\/span>con\u00e7u sur la base de l'architecture modulaire \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9e (EMA) de JLR, qui privil\u00e9gie l'\u00e9lectrique.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bien que le prix d\u00e9finitif du Range Rover GT n'ait pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9, il est clair qu'il se situera \u00e0 un niveau proche de celui du Range Rover et du Range Rover Sport, tous deux disponibles en version \u00e9lectrique et \u00e0 moteur thermique.<\/p>\n

Cela signifie que la marque Range Rover retrouvera son caract\u00e8re haut de gamme, laissant ainsi la place \u00e0 des mod\u00e8les Land Rover tels que le Freelander \u00e9lectrique<\/a>. <\/span>JLR envisage \u00e9galement de diversifier la gamme Defender : un \u2018 petit Defender \u2019, qui serait d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 sur la plateforme EMA du groupe, serait en cours de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/span><\/p>\n

La nouvelle strat\u00e9gie marketing positionnerait Discovery comme la marque pratique et familiale, Defender comme la marque tout-terrain plus robuste, et Range Rover comme la marque de luxe.<\/p>\n

Mais cela comporte le risque de perdre une partie de la client\u00e8le actuelle. Un client de l'Evoque ne correspond pas forc\u00e9ment au profil des deux marques plus abordables. Et un acheteur de Velar ne voudra pas forc\u00e9ment augmenter son budget pour passer \u00e0 un Range Rover GT.<\/p>\n

En Belgique, les prix de l'Evoque commencent \u00e0 un peu moins de 50 000 euros, tandis que le Velar le plus abordable vous co\u00fbtera 71 790 euros. Les estimations concernant le prix du Range Rover GT oscillent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement autour d'un seuil d'entr\u00e9e de gamme de 100 000 euros.<\/p>\n

Volume en baisse, marges en hausse<\/b><\/h4>\n

La strat\u00e9gie adopt\u00e9e pour Range Rover ressemble un peu \u00e0 celle que JLR a d\u00e9j\u00e0 mise en \u0153uvre pour Jaguar, bien qu'elle soit moins radicale. Jaguar a compl\u00e8tement cess\u00e9 sa production, tous les mod\u00e8les existants ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9s du march\u00e9. L'accent est d\u00e9sormais mis sur la relance de la marque avec un positionnement haut de gamme, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la GT \u00e9lectrique. Type 01<\/a> comme premier mod\u00e8le.<\/p>\n

La marque Range Rover ne fait pas l'objet d'une refonte aussi radicale, mais elle dit adieu \u00e0 un volume de ventes non n\u00e9gligeable. Bien que les ventes de l'Evoque et, dans une plus large mesure, du Velar aient baiss\u00e9, elles repr\u00e9sentent toujours une part importante des ventes de la marque, notamment en Europe.<\/p>\n

En 2025, Range Rover a vendu 22 802 exemplaires de l'Evoque en Europe, et 7 961 du Velar. Ce volume combin\u00e9 de 30 800 v\u00e9hicules repr\u00e9sente environ 30 % des ventes totales du groupe Land Rover en Europe, qui s'\u00e9l\u00e8vent \u00e0 106 873 unit\u00e9s. Le Range Rover Sport a trouv\u00e9 26 030 clients europ\u00e9ens en 2025, et le Range Rover 11 678.<\/p>\n
