Nu het Autosalon van Gen\u00e8ve verdwijnt, heeft de jury van de Europese Auto van het Jaar (COTY) opnieuw besloten om de winnaar bekend te maken op het Autosalon van Brussel, net zoals in 2023.<\/p>

Dit jaar konden de 60 juryleden \u2013 allemaal Europese autojournalisten uit 23 landen \u2013 niet uit zeven, maar uit acht finalisten kiezen. Er waren 42 verschillende modellen genomineerd voor de verkiezing van 2025, en daaruit moest de jury zeven finalisten selecteren. Zoals gezegd zijn er dit jaar acht auto\u2019s, omdat de jury van mening was dat er onvoldoende verschil was tussen de elektrische Renault 5 en zijn sportievere neef, de A290, om slechts \u00e9\u00e9n van beide te kiezen. Daarom werden de twee auto\u2019s als \u00e9\u00e9n enkele finalist beschouwd.<\/p>
