Op 27 mei zal de Universiteit Hasselt een eredoctoraat toekennen aan Hugo Bollen, de uitvinder van het wandel- en fietsknooppuntennetwerk. <\/span>Hugo Bollen, een voormalig ingenieur bij de Kempische Steenkoolmijnen, bedacht het nu wijdverspreide fiets- en wandelknooppuntennetwerk jaren geleden.<\/span><\/p>

Het doctoraat is een erkenning voor zijn essenti\u00eble bijdrage aan de duurzame ontwikkeling van onze regio en hoe hij mensen inspireerde om de schoonheid van hun omgeving te ontdekken en te waarderen.<\/span><\/p>
