Energiebedrijf Engie is gestart met de bouw van een zonnepark op haar site in Rodenhuize, het schiereiland in de haven van Gent waar al drie windturbines en een ultrasnel laadstation voor EV's staan.<\/p>

Vanaf deze zomer zal de installatie jaarlijks ongeveer 5,7 miljoen kilowattuur groene elektriciteit produceren, genoeg voor het gemiddelde verbruik van meer dan 1.600 gezinnen. Het zonnepark zal 8.300 panelen hebben verspreid over een terrein van ongeveer 45.000 m\u00b2.<\/p>
