Horse Powertrain, de Renault-Geely joint venture die in 2023-2024 werd opgericht om de volgende generatie emissiearme aandrijflijnen te ontwikkelen, heeft op de IAA Mobility 2025 een nieuw ultracompact range extender systeem gepresenteerd, de Horse C15.<\/p>

Waarom is het belangrijk? REEV's (Range-Extended EV's) bieden een pragmatische middenweg tussen aandrijving met alleen batterijen en hybride aandrijving, waarbij een benzinemotor alleen als generator wordt gebruikt om elektriciteit te produceren.
